Interpretation of famous sayings:
Xia Sai Qu by Don Yi Li.
Xingbo: refers to Ma Yuan, general of Fu Bo in Han Dynasty. Return the corpse: The Biography of Ma Yuan in the later Han Dynasty contains Ma Yuan's words: "People die in the border field, and their ears are buried in death without taking off their boots." Dingyuan: refers to Hou Banchao in Dingyuan, Han Dynasty. "The Biography of Ban Chao in the Later Han Dynasty" contains Ban Chao words: "I dare not look at Jiuquan County, but hope that Yumenguan will be born." The general idea of these two sentences is: you should only want to die on the battlefield and be buried by Yuan; Why do you have to live like Ban Chao and return to your hometown alive?
These two sentences use two allusions, and through sharp contrast, they show the great feelings of patriotic soldiers who would rather die than surrender in order to defend the frontier of the motherland. It can be used to express the lofty sentiments and ambitions of border guards, and it can also be used to show the broad mind of heroic sons and daughters who have opened up the frontier of the motherland.
This famous saying comes from Xia Sai Qu written by Li Yi in Tang Dynasty.
