Some poems have been passed down through the ages because of one excellent sentence, such as "Spring is stirring on the red apricot branches". Who still remembers the original words? I just remember the famous saying "One word of trouble is outstanding throughout the ages". There are eight lines in Wang Ji's "Ambition", which express his sorrow and anger in seclusion. The original poem is as follows:
Donggao looks at dusk, where can I rely on when I move?
The trees are all in autumn colors, and the mountains are only covered with sunset.
Herdsmen drive back calves, hunting horses return with poultry.
We look at each other without knowing each other, and we sing and pick up the flowers for a long time.
I think that if there is a famous line in this poem, it must be "The trees are all autumn colors, and the mountains are only covered with sunset."
Just by looking at these two lines of poems, one cannot tell Wang Ji’s mood. You can be in a happy mood, singing loudly on the top of the mountain, looking far into the distance, and finding that the autumn air is crisp, the trees are full of autumn air, and they are shining brightly in the molten gold of the setting sun. Doesn't this scene arouse people's pride even more?
It can also be understood that the author's mood is gloomy, lonely, and desolate. Autumn gives people the feeling of being deserted and chilly, and scholars are sad for autumn. Autumn reminds people of falling snow, dry trees, and the disappearance of all things; it also reminds people of sad past events, travel and war, and depression. The trees all had a cool color, and it was already sunset, making me feel even more lonely. Standing alone on the top of the mountain, the feeling of loneliness arises spontaneously.
It can also be understood as leisurely and indifferent. Looking back, there was no rain or shine. The prosperity of the world, the ups and downs of officialdom, everything is just a passing cloud. They are like floating clouds to me, not as real as the trees in front of me or the sunset on the horizon. The woods stand quietly under the sunset, which makes people feel pure and calm, makes them feel their own existence, and makes them appreciate the meaning of life. Walking around, you can admire the trees in the autumn colors, and enjoy the infinitely beautiful sunset, leisurely and contentedly.
Even if it is related to the following sentence, "The herdsmen drive the calves back, and the hunting horses return with the birds", it can be understood in various ways. If it is interpreted as a happy scene, it coincides with the joy of the shepherds returning home and the hunter's great harvest; if it is interpreted as a miserable scene, it coincides with the joy of the shepherds and hunters. It is okay to interpret it as leisurely, because whether shepherds or hunters, they are all people who "look at each other without knowing each other."
A definite sentence gives people a feeling of uncertainty. The more inclusive it is, the more intriguing it is and the more excellent it makes people feel. This sentence is like this; therefore I specially call it a famous sentence.
