I have also read a lot of books on paying for knowledge, and I think it has turned into skills. The following is my experience sharing for your reference.
First, listen to the book before reading. Nowadays, there are many book-opening programs for knowledge payment, such as listening to a book every day, Fan Deng reading, etc. You can listen to it after subscribing appropriately. The time for listening to the book is very flexible. You can probably finish listening to one book during commuting and cooking time. And through the interpretations of famous writers, I basically have a grasp of the essence of the book. It can be regarded as a process of listening to the book. After listening to it, if you are very interested in this book, buy it and read it carefully. For example, I bought four volumes of "Freakonomics" because I listened to the explanation earlier and read them quickly. I finished reading four volumes in one month.
Second, organize it after reading it. This is an important step in internalizing book knowledge. While reading, feel free to use a pen to sketch out the knowledge you find useful, or simply write some comments. After reading, use a mind map or other favorite note-taking method to summarize the content of the book, either paper or electronic. In this process, the ideas floating in the air will truly come to fruition, and the logical context of the book will be grasped more clearly. After you do a lot of reading and summarizing, you will find a lot of opinions and even contradictions between knowledge. If you have reached this step, congratulations, you have developed a critical consciousness and can form your own knowledge network.
Third, output forces input. As a teacher, I know that the most effective way to test input is output. So when you read the book to a certain extent, you force yourself to write. Reading and writing are a virtuous cycle. When you read, you have your own reflections and experiences, and you instinctively want to express them; in the process of expressing, you will find your own shortcomings, so you will be more motivated and targeted to read and make up for your mistakes. So don’t just read, read and write at the same time.
Wish you more happiness in reading~
