China's economic development has accumulated a large number of ecological and environmental problems, which have become the pain of people's livelihood and people's hearts for a period of time. In order to meet people's needs for a beautiful ecological environment, we must put ecological civilization construction in a prominent position in the overall work and actively respond to people's ideas, expectations and urgency.
From the perspective of civilization development, the ecological environment is the basis of human survival and development. Historical experience at all times and at home and abroad shows that human beings' harm to nature will eventually hurt themselves, and human beings must respect, fear, conform and protect nature.
The essence of green development is to adhere to the scientific concept of "clear water and green mountains are priceless treasures" and strive to achieve harmonious coexistence between man and nature in development.
First, we must promote green development. Accelerate the establishment of a legal system and policy orientation for green production and consumption, and establish and improve an economic system with green and low-carbon circular development.
Second, efforts should be made to solve outstanding environmental problems. Adhere to the principle of co-governance by the whole people and source prevention, continue to implement air pollution prevention and control actions, accelerate water pollution prevention and control, strengthen soil pollution control and remediation, strengthen solid waste and garbage disposal, raise pollution discharge standards, build an environmental governance system with government as the leading factor, enterprises as the main body, social organizations and the public as the main participants, and actively participate in global environmental governance.
The third is to increase the protection of ecosystems. Implement major projects for the protection and restoration of important ecosystems, optimize the ecological security barrier system, build ecological corridors and biodiversity protection networks, and improve the quality and stability of ecosystems. The fourth is to reform the ecological environment supervision system. Strengthen the overall design, organization and leadership of ecological civilization construction, set up state-owned natural resource assets management and natural ecological supervision institutions, and improve the ecological environment management system.
