How to understand the true meaning of Buddhism

Master tells everyone that only by getting rid of attachments in these aspects can we enter the original meaning of Buddha. The original meaning of Buddha is to allow you to obtain the wisdom of emptiness. Buddhists study Buddhism for a long time just to learn the meaning. If you study Buddhism for a long time and don’t learn the true meaning of Buddhism, what’s the point of it? Learned in vain.

We must get rid of ourselves and all artificial attachments. We should not be attached to others, and should not always think about what I think, I must be right, what I should be, what I was like in the past, no, you are still the same, who are you? Don't be the boss outside. You should always lower your head outside. The more arrogant you are, the more trouble you will cause yourself. Therefore, we should not be attached to anyone: I must be like this, and you must be like this.

To get rid of the appearance of sentient beings is to get rid of all man-made attachments to the world. In other words, all sentient beings are good people. I have no objection to all sentient beings. I have no attachments. Do you understand? Eliminating the appearance of longevity means getting rid of attachment to time, lifetimes, and age. What are you obsessed with in life? That is, I owe him something from my previous life, and I have no way to repay him. Many women are like this. When their marriages break up, they feel that they owe their sons, and they keep being nice to their sons. Later, when their sons come over to her, she is still nice to him. In fact, she is creating new karma. Her son has created karma, and her son will have to pay her back in the next life. So, don’t be attached to these things, don’t feel that you owe him everything in your life, what do you owe him? "I have to pay back almost what I should pay back." In fact, as soon as you say this, you really have to pay back almost. Otherwise, you will keep paying back. If you keep paying back, it won't be finished. Let it go. . Letting go is very simple. Learn to let go when watching TV. When you are watching the most exciting thing, people come over and turn off the TV. Are you angry? Not being angry is called cultivation and letting go. You endured the humiliation and said with a smile: "I originally wanted to turn it off. I'm going to sleep." When you put it down, it was completely dark. If you lose your temper, jump up, and yell, "You are selfish, why are you like this?" Can such a person cultivate well?

Master tells everyone that only by getting rid of attachments in these aspects can we enter the original meaning of Buddha. The original meaning of Buddha is to allow you to obtain the wisdom of emptiness. Buddhists study Buddhism for a long time just to learn the meaning. If you study Buddhism for a long time and don’t learn the true meaning of Buddhism, what’s the point of it? Learned in vain. What kind of wisdom is emptiness? Just let it go, it doesn’t matter. "Oh, he defrauded me of my money. I can't live anymore." "Oh, he is my son. I raised him so big. How could he do this to me? I don't want to live anymore." All difficulties are given to us. All difficulties are stairs. I must walk up them, step over them, and step on them. Is there any path in life that I cannot step on?

Cultivation is the end of troubles, and practice is the end of life and death. These are all famous quotes. Cutting off worries is cultivating the mind. When you cut off worries, you are cultivating the mind. When you cultivate the mind, you are cutting off worries. If there are no worries, you will succeed and your mind will be repaired. So, what does it mean to end life and death? I don’t know at all that people can still live or die, because if they die, they will live, and if they live, they will die, because if they die, they will live, and if they live, they will die. There is no end to life and death, because people themselves are alive. In the cycle, so it is called reincarnation. If you understand the way of life and death, you will be able to successfully cultivate your mind. Success in cultivating your mind will help you get rid of your worries.

Don’t do things that are not beneficial to sentient beings and ourselves; we should do things that are beneficial to sentient beings but not ourselves; we should do things that are beneficial to sentient beings but not ourselves; anything that is beneficial to sentient beings is also beneficial to ourselves. We must do things, and this is the way to guide you as a human being. Today you went to curse people and quarreled with them. Did you benefit them? No, don't do this kind of thing. Is it beneficial to you? Don't do it if you're half angry and there's no benefit to it. We need to do more things to increase our compassion. If doing this increases your compassion, you should do it more. Today you are distributing Master's books to people. Do you see that so many people are pitiful? They don't even know about Master's good books and such good vernacular Buddhism taught by Master. How come this person doesn't know about it? Be compassionate, your feeling of compassion when you distribute the book will earn you a lot of merit. I should do things that are beneficial to all sentient beings but not beneficial to myself. Although it does not benefit myself much, as long as I can help others, I will be very happy and I will do it and sacrifice myself to save others.

You must be aware that you have been in the six realms for a long time and how to be liberated. You must always feel for yourself, I have been in this world for a long time, I have done too many things wrong, I am not too young, I have missed love five times, I have been emotionally tortured, I have been defrauded of money, I I have argued with my parents countless times. My children have been educated like this for too long. Why don’t I understand? Why haven't I changed myself yet? You need to be quick, you need to be free, and you need to know that you have done many things wrong, so that you can respond to other people's hearts. Because you feel anxious, you will meet other people's hearts. In modern terms, many girls marry this husband when they are young and always feel that they are beautiful. When they are in their fifties or sixties, when their faces are covered with wrinkles, they still imitate the behavior of their husbands in their twenties and thirties. That way, "I want this, that", you will be thrown away a long time ago. What time to say something, right? What to do under any circumstances.

You must know how to understand other people's hearts in order to respond to their hearts. You must have a heart that loves others more than you love yourself, and you must love others more than you love yourself. Only then will you be a kind-hearted person. How can a person who only knows how to love himself and never knows how to love others become a kind person? Loving others more than loving yourself is called loving. You are all selfish now, you only know how to love yourself, how can you love others? Therefore, he is a selfish person.

Buddhist scriptures talk about two kinds of solemnity. There are two kinds of solemnity: one is wisdom. When we were in school, why did so many children like you and why so many children followed you? Because you are wise and you can figure out a solution for anything you encounter. , so the children will follow you. To put it simply, you, a child, have brains and wisdom, and solemnity is the crystallization of wisdom. The second solemnity is merit. Because you are moral, you will be blessed. Blessed people must be moral.

Fortune and wisdom are complementary to each other. A wise person will have merit; a person with merit will have wisdom. Therefore, one must have Bodhisattva wisdom. If you are a Bodhisattva, you must have these two adornments. In other words, if you are a Bodhisattva today, first, you must have wisdom, and second, you must have merit.

Master said conversely, if we now learn to be a Bodhisattva, we must first learn wisdom and have some merit. If you are not doing well financially, you will not be able to do many meritorious deeds; if you are not doing well morally, you will not be able to learn Buddhism well, right? In the past, people with physical disabilities could not become monks and nuns. This was determined by Shakyamuni Buddha. If you are a person with broken arms and legs, you cannot become a monk or a nun because the causes of your previous life have caused the consequences of your current life. Because of your bad karma in your previous life, you are still "receiving" in this life. This is called reason. Therefore, people who study Buddhism must be moral.

Master tells you that if you want to know the nature of Buddha, if you want to learn Buddhism, you must have a solemn image. This is why Master tells you to stop joking in front of others, because those who joke are not solemn, and solemn people do not joke easily. Go and see those great leaders and presidents. They do not joke easily. People who joke casually are not dignified, do you understand?

If this person distinguishes himself from the Buddha Land, he has a conditioned form. That is to say, in your heart, on this Buddhist land where you study Buddhism, if you have a discriminating mind, you are thinking with form, that is, thinking with form and form. To say that one can achieve it by oneself means that some people learn Buddhism and say that they can become a Buddha or a Bodhisattva. This makes them live in states such as color, sound, and sound. "He lives there", that is to say, if you often say that you have cultivated very well and how you can achieve success, you will have stopped in the realm of color, sound, fragrance, and contact with the Dharma. In fact, you, as a person, will People have not made progress because you have feelings and you still attach great importance to the world of the body and cannot escape from it. In fact, you cannot escape from the six paths of reincarnation. Therefore, if one is not self-aware of true solemnity, it means that it is definitely not true solemnity. If this person tells you: "I have cultivated so well, I have reached the realm of Bodhisattva, what can I do?" Then this person is not solemn and is bragging, and others will look down on you. If you can not be attached to the form, practice to the point where you don’t think you are practicing very well, practice to the point where you don’t see everything in the world, and there is no color, sound, fragrance, touch, or anything that makes you feel, then you will have reached the state of solemnity, that is, The solemn appearance of Bodhisattva.

Dignity requires a pure heart that has nothing to live in.

What is solemnity? Only those who have no distracting thoughts in their hearts will be dignified. To give a simple example, you make an appointment with a doctor today. Why do some people look down on a certain doctor, thinking that this doctor only knows how to make money, and send the patient away with just a few words? Is such a doctor dignified? He is also a doctor. Was Dr. Bethune solemn in the past? He doesn't charge for money. He comes all the way to China to help people. He doesn't charge for money. Isn't that solemn? People think highly of him, right? A doctor who does not charge money and only knows how to help others is very solemn, great and noble. If a doctor treats patients for a little money, his personality will immediately become low.

We must rely on true wisdom, that is, we must rely on our true wisdom to access the path of our own nature, that is, we must use true wisdom to achieve the clean soil of our own nature and the spiritual manifestation. At this time, because your wisdom comes out and your heart is really kind, then you can show infinite light and compassion. To give a simple example, this person has never been evil-minded. The words he says, the things he does, his actions and his thoughts must all be kind. Only the mind appears, and as the mind continues to appear, it is a kind thing. This is the Buddhaland achieved by the right wisdom, which is called the right solemnity. In other words, because you have correct wisdom, you become the righteous Buddhaland in your heart, and you are righteous and solemn. What does it mean? Because pretending to be serious means not being solemn. No matter how well-dressed, people say that a person has a human face and a beast's heart. Being solemn means that his heart is upright. Therefore, his face and actions are all correct. This is called being solemn. Today Master talked a little deeper, but it was indeed a little slow. Speaking slowly can give you a lot more space for thinking. I hope you will study hard.

Gong Lu, true wisdom is solemn
