Unit 4, Book 2, Grade 9 * * Four texts: Two short essays, the artistic conception of landscape painting, the beauty without words, drive away our imagination. Among them, the first two are teaching reading texts, and the last two are self-reading texts. In addition, this unit also has writing topic "revision and polishing" and oral communication "debate"
Stylistically, the four articles selected in this unit are all literary argumentations. Among them, the topics discussed in Talking about Reading and Two Short Essays are all about reading, but the angles and methods of discussion are different. The article "Talking about Reading" uses Mr. Wang Zuoliang's translation, which is concise and catchy. This paper uses metaphor, parallelism, contrast and other ways to reason, and specifically expounds the function and different methods of reading. Although the article is short, it contains a lot of famous sayings and aphorisms, which is an excellent material for students to recite and accumulate besides argumentative study. Starting with Tao Yuanming's mention of "not asking for a very good solution" and the common people's misunderstanding of this reading method, Ma Nancun lists the reading examples of Lenin, Zhuge Liang and Lu Xiangshan, and discusses that it is a desirable and valuable reading method for reading sometimes. In the article "Artistic Conception of Landscape Painting", the author Li Keran, as a painter, chose artistic conception in landscape painting as the starting point and talked about the conditions for obtaining artistic conception from artistic conception. In the middle, he took many famous ancient poems as examples to prove each other's literary works and artistic works, so that readers could understand the artistic conception of landscape painting in simple terms. For students, in addition to learning the ideas expounded in this paper, they can also get more relevant aesthetic methods. The Beauty of Wordlessness by Mr. Zhu Guangqian talks about the problem of blank space in literary and artistic works, and thinks that blank space is also a kind of beauty in literary and artistic creation. The more empty it is, the stronger the aesthetic feeling is. As the first self-reading text in this unit, the textbook provides nine marginal notes for students' learning, involving three types: questioning, explaining and supplementing. These annotations can help students to think deeply and expand after class in the process of learning articles, and effectively understand that wordlessness is also a beautiful view. In Driving Our Imagination, Ye Lao takes the sentences in Wang Wei's Lonely Smoke in the Desert and the Long River Falling in the Japanese Yen and Gorky's Haiyan as examples to explain the important role of imagination in reading in a simple way. The language of this self-reading text is easy to understand, and students themselves have some reading experience, so it should be easy to understand combined with after-class reading tips.
As far as the selected content of the whole unit is concerned, it is both ideological and artistic. I believe that in the study of specific languages, students' thinking ability can be trained and improved, which is also very helpful to improve students' aesthetic taste and artistic accomplishment. Only in this way can the core literacy of Chinese subject be achieved.
