Chen Jingrun (May 22, 1933 - March 19, 1996), born in Fuzhou, Fujian, was a mathematician, member (academician) of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and a researcher at the Institute of Mathematics, Chinese Academy of Sciences.
Chen Jingrun was admitted to the Department of Mathematics and Physics of Xiamen University in 1950; graduated from Xiamen University in 1953, and was later assigned to teach at Beijing No. 4 Middle School; in 1954, he served as a data clerk at Xiamen University; in 1957, he served as an intern at the Institute of Mathematics, Chinese Academy of Sciences Researcher; in 1977, he was a researcher at the Institute of Mathematics, Chinese Academy of Sciences; in 1980, he was elected as a member (academician) of the Chinese Academy of Sciences; he died in Beijing on March 19, 1996, at the age of 63. Chen Jingrun is mainly engaged in research in analytic number theory.
