Zheng Banqiao is a very representative literati painter in Qing Dynasty. His poems, books and paintings are called "three wonders", but his official career is not well known. Zheng Banqiao came from a poor family in his early years and didn't take the exam until middle age. He only worked as a county magistrate or something. However, when Zheng Banqiao was a local official, he managed well, cared for the people, was diligent and honest, and loved the people like a son, so he won the support of the people. Zheng Banqiao also advocated literature and was good at finding talents, so he was backward. When he left Wei County in his sixties, people sent him to the streets to show off and built a shrine for him to commemorate his love and sympathy for the people when he was in power in Wei County. Zheng Banqiao's love for the people has been fully revealed in his poem "Painting Bamboo in Wei County during the Period when Bao Bo was a junior high school student".
