Wuwei No. 6 Middle School was founded in 1973. In April 2006, it was evaluated and confirmed by the Gansu Provincial Government as a provincial "demonstration ordinary high school". Wuwei No. 6 Middle School has a campus area of ??42,214.6 square meters and a construction area of ??31,000 square meters. The school currently has 53 teaching classes, 3,700 students, and 152 full-time teachers. In the six years from 1998 to 2003, the school sent more than 3,000 freshmen to colleges and universities. In 2003, the college entrance examination pass rate was 82, including 312 undergraduates.
