George Herbert Leigh Mallory (June 18, 1886 - June 8, 1924) was a British explorer who died while trying to climb Mount Everest.
When asked why he wanted to climb Mount Everest, he replied, "Because it's there." ("Because it's there."), which has become a quote that people often quote to this day.
Everyone may have different experiences about this.
Meng Lao said: "It is a longing for the future, an expectation." Some people understand it as: The unknown front is always full of mystery, thrills, and excitement. New heights and new achievements have become human beings. Eternal longing and pursuit. The unknown mountain inspires people not to give up or stop. Mountains are worth admiring; mountains are worth looking forward to; mountains are worth yearning for. Expect good things, and expectation itself is a kind of beauty.
However, I think it can be understood as: "Follow your heart, just do it! Whaterer the result is."
