Carl Wilhelm Scheele (1742~1786) was a famous Swedish chemist who discovered chlorine and oxygen. One of the discoverers, he also conducted in-depth research on hydrogen chloride, carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, nitrogen dioxide and other gases.
