"Future Shock"
In 1970, Toffler's book "Future Shock" came out. This huge book discussing the future political and social system of the United States caused international controversy. It received a strong response, was translated into more than 50 languages, sold 7 million copies, and created a popular new word "Futureshock" in the English-speaking world. According to statistics from the International Institute for Scientific Information, it is one of the most cited works in social science literature and continues to appear in headlines in newspapers and magazines to this day.
