Yu Minhong's famous sayings

The snail's shell is added by oneself.

As long as the snail climbs to the top of the pyramid, the world it sees and the achievements it gains are exactly the same as those of the eagle.

The sea is boundless, only take what you can drink. The scoop of water that I can drink must be the scoop of water that I want to drink most.

Starting a business is actually easier than having a child. It only takes one person, not two.

When starting a business, never treat yourself as a human being.

I gave them everything I had just to let them follow me.

***There is a problem of benefit distribution when we are rich. When we are in trouble, everyone first thinks of being rich in the future. In principle, if the principle of benefit distribution is discussed in advance, it is not difficult to become rich and powerful. The terrible thing is that when one is in trouble, one does not expect that there will be benefit distribution in the future.

I am more like Liu Bei. I often use tears to earn the sympathy of other managers. I am not good at using discipline to restrict and manage talents.

Don't create a situation like the Romance of the Three Kingdoms. You have to conquer the country as soon as you arrive in a new city, otherwise don't do it. Why? Because in the end, when your family competes with the other two, all the costs will be consumed in human resources and marketing advertising, and there may be no profit in the end. It would be better to send a relatively powerful person and spend a large amount of money to take over all the other parties in one package, so that it becomes an independent kingdom. The cost of an independent kingdom is the lowest.

A brick is of no use, and a pile of bricks is of no use. If you do not have a dream of building a house in your heart, having all the bricks in the world is also a pile of waste; but if you only have a dream of building a house, and Without bricks, dreams cannot be realized.

Every river has a dream: to run to the sea. The Yangtze River and the Yellow River both run towards the sea, but in different ways. The Yangtze River cuts through the mountains to open its way, while the Yellow River twists and turns with different trajectories. But they all have a spirit of water. If the water settles in the sand as it flows, it will never see the sun.

Every river has its own different life curve, but every river has its own dream - to run to the sea. Our lives can sometimes be mud. You may slowly settle down like sand. Once you settle down, you may not have to work hard to move forward, but you will never see the sunshine. So I suggest everyone, no matter what your life is like now, you must have the spirit of water. Like water, constantly accumulate your own strength and constantly break through obstacles. When you find that the opportunity does not come, accumulate your strength. When one day the opportunity comes, you will be able to rush into the sea and achieve your own life. ("The Spirit of Water")

There are two ways for people to live. The first way is to live like grass. Although you are alive and growing every year, you are still a grass. It absorbs rain, dew and sunlight, but it doesn't grow much. People can step on you, but people will not feel pain because of your pain; people will not pity you because you have been stepped on, because people themselves have not seen you. Therefore, each of us should grow like a tree. Even if we have nothing now, as long as you have the seeds of the tree, even if you are stepped into the middle of the soil, you can still absorb the nutrients of the soil and grow. When you grow into a towering tree, people can see you in distant places; when they approach you, you can give people a piece of green. Life is a beautiful scenery, death is still a pillar of talent, life and death are useful. This is the standard of life and growth for each of our classmates. ("People should live like trees")

Be like water and do things like mountains. As a person, try to go as low as possible, let others go, and step back as much as possible when encountering benefits and reputation, leaving room for yourself to grow bigger. You must have your own opinions and goals when doing things, and stand there like a mountain in order to get things done.

If we don’t leave some days for ourselves that make our eyes full of tears, your life will be in vain.

There are only two types of people whose success is inevitable. The first is to go through the severe test of life, through repeated alternations of success and failure, and finally become a great person. The other kind has not experienced the ups and downs of life, but has reached the top level in terms of technology. For example, if someone who studies chemistry eventually becomes a world-famous chemist, this is also a success.

No external force can defeat a person or an organization. What can defeat a person is his or her inner world, and what can defeat an organization is internal management.

Faith comes from an inner strength. When you have enough faith in your heart, you do not necessarily need external faith.

("Faith and Passion")

You would rather deal with a group of outstanding people, you are the last one, study like them, no matter how you are squeezed by them, you cannot be in a group of unpromising people In the middle you become number one.

If you want to know how much you are worth, look at the friends around you and select 5 friends. The average of their values ??is your value.

After going public, does Yu Minhong feel that his worth is different? A pig is labeled with a new label and feels that it is no longer a pig. This is a very dangerous thing. This is my warning to myself.

I regretted going public, and I still regret going public now.

Rankings and honors are like clouds in the sky. You cannot lie on them. If you lie on them, they will fall down. Ranking and honor are actually beautiful scenery that can only be appreciated.

Everyone panicked. Because we have never learned business rules before, we have never learned about joint-stock systems, and we can’t even figure out what is going on between a limited company and an unlimited company. We do not have the ability to separate this body of interests.

In New Oriental, it is easy for key employees to go beyond the rules and talk about relationships. After listing, external rules are stronger and more powerful than internal rules.

If there are many active factors in the process of New Oriental's development from its initial development to its expansion, I have been pushed to go public in essence. External competitors are a push, but internal push is even more powerful, because after the company develops to a certain level, everyone takes the equity of New Oriental, and the realization of equity is a matter of concern to everyone. Of course, everyone wants to be able to get money all at once without having to bear too many consequences. Of course, New Oriental was eventually put on the market. Part of the reason was to resolve internal conflicts. Otherwise, people within New Oriental and people circulating in the inner circle would stir up trouble. In the end, they would feel that they had no chance to succeed.

I used to be able to encourage employees at New Oriental at will, but now I absolutely dare not say such things. I can only say things that can be done. In the past, I never used manuscripts when speaking, but now I must use outlines when speaking. There is another interesting phenomenon. Now that everyone thinks I am rich, letters for help are flying in like snowflakes from various institutions and individuals. Some obviously have the feeling of killing the rich and giving to the poor.

When I was at Peking University, I would hesitate for a long time whether to buy live or dead fish.

Wealth does not necessarily mean life, and life does not necessarily mean wealth.
