Some time ago I saw a post on Moments by a role model that I admire very much. Whenever he gets into a bottleneck period, he watches the movie "Rocky". Listening to the classic music "Gonna? Fly? Now" in the play, I concentrated on breaking through my performance. Inspired by him, I watched the Rocky series of movies and was deeply inspired. Let me talk about my feelings about this series of movies.
The movie "Rocky" is about boxing, love, and dreams. Stallone, as the screenwriter and star of the movie, plays a little guy named Rocky. At first Rocky was just a little boxer on the decline, but fate always favors those who are prepared. When boxing champion Apollo picked Rocky as his opponent in the Open, everyone thought it was a one-sided contest. But Rocky never gave up. Although he was not confident, he had nothing to fear about the future as long as he worked hard. The final outcome was beyond everyone's expectations. It seemed unexpected, but it was actually reasonable. A boxing champion sees it as a show, while a third-rate boxer sees it as his only chance to realize his dream.
The most classic scene in the film is when Rocky drinks raw eggs and starts running on the streets of Philadelphia at 4 a.m. every day, and then the classic music "Gonna? Fly? Now" plays in the film. With continuous training every day, Rocky runs faster and faster. Every time he passes through a street, people express their support for him in various ways. And every day when Rocky ran step by step to the commanding heights of the Art Museum in Philadelphia, raising his arms in front of the entire Philadelphia and making a boxer's victory gesture, I seemed to see the never-say-die spirit deep in Rocky's heart. It moved and attracted me.
Every time Rocky was knocked down by Apollo in the ring, his iron will allowed him to stand up again, and each time he was more determined. This look was described by Apollo after the game as the eyes of a tiger. It was this willpower that allowed Rocky to fight to the end. His never-say-die spirit conquered the arrogant boxing champion before the game and also conquered all the audience that night. The audience shouted loudly for Rocky. Rocky in the film is such a real and insignificant character, but through his unremitting efforts and never-say-die spirit, he has reached the pinnacle of his life.
In fact, this is very similar to life. Life will always encounter ups and downs, and many people are unable to recover because of this. But there is a kind of person who becomes more courageous with every setback. Every time he falls, he gets up and becomes braver. This Rocky spirit is also an important reason why this movie was so popular with the public at that time. It is a movie about the American dream, and it is also a movie that celebrates persisting in your dreams and never giving up. If you haven't seen it yet, then I strongly recommend watching it.
