Original: If you know what you are saying, you can say it if you say it. It's all about fame and fortune, but when you see the next paragraph and encounter meanness, you will dislike it. Those who speak out of rich profits, those who speak out of high reputation, see things that are unintentional and will not accept them.
Translation: It is to understand the psychology of the person you are talking about, so as to make your own statement suitable for him. If the target wants to pursue a good name, but convinces him with rich interests, it will appear that his moral integrity is low and his treatment is low, and he will inevitably be abandoned and alienated. If the object wants to pursue rich profits, but persuades him with a good name, it will be unrealistic and divorced from reality, and will certainly not be accepted.
Han Feizi's thoughts
Han Fei raised the legalist thought to the height of cosmology, thus forming a complete theoretical system. He has written articles such as Lonely Anger, Five Criticism, Hidden Inside, Hidden Outside, Forest and Difficulties. Later generations collected and arranged his works into a book "Han Feizi".
The legalist theory founded by Han Fei provided a theoretical basis for the birth of the first unified and autocratic centralized state in China. After Han Fei's death, his legalist thoughts were reused by Ying Zheng, the king of Qin, and as the essence of governing the country of Qin, he helped the state of Qin to enrich Qiang Bing and finally unify the six countries.
Ideological theory
Han Fei was a materialist philosopher and a master of legalist thought at the end of the Warring States period. Han Fei witnessed the poverty and weakness of South Korea at the end of the Warring States Period, and wrote to the king of South Korea many times, hoping to change the situation that governing the country at that time did not emphasize the rule of law, and what was not used and what was not used, but his idea was never adopted. Han Fei thinks this is a "loyal minister who cannot tolerate evil and waste."
He retired from writing books, and wrote such works as Lonely Anger, Wu Zhu, Hidden Inside, Hidden Outside, Forest and Difficulties. In these articles, Han Fei emphasized the rule of law theory of combining law, technique and potential, which reached the peak of legalist theory in the pre-Qin period, provided theoretical weapons for the Qin Dynasty to unify the six countries, and also provided theoretical basis for the autocratic monarchy system in feudal society in the future.
