The first one was opened by Yang Diankui, a Muslim from Nanguan. He changed his business from Qinxing to grinding sesame oil. At that time, he invited an oil grinder from Dongchang Prefecture, Shandong Province. The partnership opened a small sesame oil grinding shop on West Street in Daming City (opposite to Yangshi Street). This man was good at running a business. In addition to walking around the streets and selling sesame oil from door to door every day, he also delivered oil on credit to banquet shops and bun shops every day. He also kept accounting books for each shop and settled accounts regularly. As a result, small ground sesame oil gradually became popular in Daimyo. Especially the Hui people mostly use sesame oil for seasoning. The amount of oil sold is from small to large. Six bushels of sesame oil can be sold every day (each bushel of sesame seeds is twenty-four pounds).
Yang Diankui’s family made money by running a small sesame oil grinding business. The oil grinding technician had to resign and go home after working for three years. When leaving, Yang Diankui saw him off with gifts and money. The oil grinding technician was moved. Halfway through the journey, the technician told him the oil grinding secret. There were only two sentences, namely, "the sesame seeds are distilled and the oil is stirred." The cooler it is, the more fragrant it is. When stirring the oil, stir it until it is cooked. The more cooked it is, the more oil will come out. After Yang Diankui came back, he mastered the technology and started running a small sesame oil mill independently. The more he worked, the richer he became. It was not until the 14th year of the Republic of China (around 1925) that other oil mills appeared, but the oil sales volume was far less than that of Yang Diankui's family.
