After the success, Wu Song and Lu Zhishen were unwilling to accept official appointments from the court and became monks in Liuhe Temple in Hangzhou. One day, the tide of the Qiantang River came. Lu Zhishen was from Guanxi and did not know the tide information of Zhejiang. He thought it was the sound of war drums and the thieves were coming, so he jumped up, touched the Zen staff, drank loudly, and snatched it out.

The monks were taken aback and asked: "Master, why are you doing this? Where are you going?" Lu Zhishen said, "I heard the sound of war drums, and I am about to go out to kill." All the monks started laughing. Said: "Master heard it wrong! It's not the sound of war drums, but the sound of tidal waves in the Qiantang River."

Lu Zhishen was surprised when he heard this, and asked: "Master, what is the sound of tidal signals?" The monks replied: "Today is August 15th, and the tide is coming at the third watch."

Lu Zhishen looked at it, clapped his hands and said with a smile: "My master, Elder Zhizhen, once gave me four verses, It is "capture in summer", I killed in the ten thousand pine forest and captured Xia Houcheng alive; "caught when encountering wax", I captured Fang La alive; today is the answer to "listen to the tide and become round, see the letter and become silent", I think Now that there is a trend, it is time to pass away.

Monks, I ask you, how do you call passing away?" The monks in the temple replied: "You are a monk, don't you know that passing away is death in Buddhism? Lu Zhishen said with a smile: "Since death is called Nirvana, Sajia must have passed away now. Please bring me a bucket of hot water for bathing." The monks in the temple asked Lu Zhishen to take a bath. He called his subordinates to the military academy: "Go and report to Brother Song Gongming to come and see me."

When Song Jiang saw the report and hurriedly invited the leaders to come and see him, Lu Zhishen was already sitting on the Zen chair and motionless. Song Jiang and Lu Junyi sighed after reading the verse. Many leaders came to see Lu Zhishen, burned incense and paid homage.

Jingshan Dahui, holding a torch in his hand, came straight to the niche, pointed at Lu Zhishen, and said a few words in French: Lu Zhishen, Lu Zhishen! Suddenly, I followed the tide back and found that I was nowhere to be found. The monks chanted sutras and repented, burned the niches, collected the bones behind the Liuhe Pagoda Mountain, and buried them in the pagoda courtyard.
