Lanxin Grand Theatre is a film about the Shanghai Concession in 1941, directed by Lou Ye and starring Gong Li and Mark Chao. The film tells the story that Yu Yan, a movie star, was invited by the left-wing director Tan Na to return to Shanghai to star in the drama Saturday Novel, but her real identity was a spy and she carried out the operation of obtaining Japanese telegraph code.
