Confucius said: A filial son's duty is to serve his relatives. Living there will bring respect to him, nourishing him will bring him happiness, sickness will bring him sorrow, mourning will bring him mourning, and offering sacrifices will bring him strictness. The five are prepared. , and then we can get married. Those who serve relatives should not be arrogant when they are above, do not be chaotic when they are below, and do not fight when they are ugly. If they are arrogant when they are above, they will perish. Those who cause chaos for the sake of inferiority will be punished. If you fight against ugliness, you will be a soldier. If the three are not removed, even if they are fed by the three animals every day, it is still unfilial.
Translation? Confucius said: "A filial son should serve his parents with utmost respect in daily life at home, and in serving food and drink, he should maintain a pleasant and cheerful mood to serve; When your parents are sick, you should take care of them with worry; when your parents die, you should take care of the funeral with all your sorrow; you should take the sacrifices to your ancestors seriously and ensure that the etiquette is not messed up. These five aspects must be done thoroughly and thoughtfully. It can be said that children have fulfilled their responsibilities to their parents. They must be in a high position without being arrogant and arrogant. When in a lower class, they must not do anything wrong. They must live harmoniously among the people and not be arrogant in being in a high position. Those who are arrogant are bound to perish, those who do wrong in the lower classes will inevitably be punished, and fighting among the people will lead to mutual killing. If you do not abstain from the three evils of arrogance, chaos, and strife, even if you feed your parents with cattle and sheep every day. Even if you feed the pigs and animals with all your heart, you are still an unfilial person."
Yan Qiong realizes that all flesh and blood respect relatives. It is important to respect relatives, be filial to their bodies, be filial to their aspirations, and be filial to their wisdom. Don't use filial piety to support wealth. A husband who is filial must be filial, a high-ranking man must be humble, and a low-ranking man must be right. There is no disaster to harm you, no disaster to come, even if you eat and drink sparingly, you still consider it filial piety. If you are arrogant when you are high, are chaotic when you are low, or fight when you are ugly, you will endanger your parents, but you can still be filial.
