The ancients said, "It's a ghost's business to think and do." It is futile and even stupid to persuade people not to seek truth from language and words by thinking and reasoning. Unfortunately, the smarter people are, the more they will fall into this trap.

If you don't realize it, but always quote the words of Buddhism and ancestors, it really kills the possibility of enlightenment and is not good for yourself. This is "saying that you don't have enough to eat"!

After saying this to his disciples, the Gushan God Banquet asked a Zen master, "Do you understand?"

The monk was speechless and asked the waiter privately, "I don't know how to answer, please advise."

The monks then returned to the Gushan God Banquet and read the script like parrots.

Zen wants spiritual enlightenment, not oral enlightenment. This sentence was not said by a monk.

The Gushan God Banquet immediately called the waiter to come over and ask questions: "This is what you taught him to say!"

The waiter admitted it.

The Gushan banquet will beat him up and then drive out the door!

Zen master Eshan in Japan once said an alarming famous saying: "What did you say to people before you realized it?" This man is killing Buddha! "

After a while, Xuefeng Village asked him, "What does Zen mean?" The Gushan God Banquet proudly said, "What makes sense!" Xuefeng village was satisfied, but it was obvious that he had done something great.
