Poems written by Han Yu: "Spring Snow", "Visiting Princess Taiping Villa", "Zhong Hunan", "Zuo Qian moved to Languan to show his nephew Xiang", "Reply to Zhang's eleven merits".
1. "Spring Snow"
The new year is not yet full of youth, and I was surprised to see grass buds in early February.
The white snow is too late for spring, so it flies through the trees in the garden.
Translation: Even in the New Year, there are still no fragrant flowers. It was only in early February that I was surprised to find new buds on the grass. However, Bai Xue thought that spring came too late, so she deliberately turned into flowers and flew among the trees in the courtyard.
2. "A Tour to Princess Taiping's Villa"
The princess wanted to seize the spring, so she took the terrace to the gate of the city.
If you want to know how much money you will spend ahead, until Nanshan Mountain no longer belongs to people.
Translation: Princess Taiping wanted to take advantage of the spring scenery and built the pavilions and pavilions of her villa higher than the city gate. If you want to know how many flowers and trees there are in front of the villa, they extend all the way to Zhongnan Mountain and they don't belong to anyone else.
3. "Zhong Hunan"
The ape is worried about the fish swimming in the waves, and it has been said that it is Miluo since ancient times.
The plate is full of algae and there is nowhere to lay a memorial stone. I can only hear the fisherman singing on the boat.
Translation: The mountain ape cries sadly, the river fish leaps, and the water waves roll. The story of Miluo River (Qu Yuan) has been passed down here since ancient times. There are green apples and algae floating everywhere on the riverside that can be used as sacrificial offerings. However, the remains of Qu Yuan's drowning in the river have disappeared. Even the place to pay homage cannot be found. Only the fisherman's song on the river can still be heard in the distance.
4. "Moving from the left to Languan to show his nephew Xiang"
A letter was sent to Jiuchongtian in the morning, and he was demoted to eight thousand people on Chaozhou Road in the evening.
If you want to eliminate evil things for the sage, you are willing to cherish your old age!
Where is Yun Heng’s Qinling family? The snow embraces the blue and the horse stops moving forward.
I know that you have come from afar with purpose, so that you can take me back to the riverside.
Translation: In the morning I presented a letter of remonstrance to the emperor, and in the evening I was demoted to the distant Chaozhou. If you want to get rid of harmful things for the emperor, how can you begrudge the remaining life because of aging. Looking back at Chang'an, all I see is Zhongnan Mountain separated by floating clouds. Where is home? Immediately at Lan Pass, the snow was so congested that even the horse hesitated. I know that you have come a long way and you should know that my departure will be unlucky. You just happened to collect my bones by the miasma-filled river in Chaozhou.
5. "Reply to Zhang's Eleven Merits"
The mountains are clear, the rivers are clear, the water is empty, and there is sand, and there are two or three houses where the mournful ape cries.
Yundun competes with long slender bamboo shoots, and wanders around leisurely blooming colorful flowers.
If you don’t repay your kindness and know where you will die, don’t let the miasma ruin your life.
After reciting your poems, I looked at my temples and felt that half of the hair on my temples had grown frosty.
Translation: The spring mountains are clear and pure, the spring river is vast and clear, and you can see the sand at the bottom of the river. The sad and plaintive cries of apes can be heard everywhere. Thick bamboo shoots and slender bamboo shoots compete to grow. The sheep ducks are at ease, and bright flowers bloom everywhere. The emperor's deep kindness has not yet been repaid, and the place of death is unknown, but he just begs not to waste the rest of his life in the hot miasma of the south. After reciting Zhang Shu's poem, he sighed and looked at his temples, which suddenly felt half white.
