Prose of Five Mountains Respecting Mount Tai Alone
In middle school, Mr. Li Jianwu's essay "Climbing Mount Tai in the Rain" used melodious words to let me appreciate the strange scenery of Mount Tai in the changing misty rain. Since then, I have always dreamed of climbing Mount Tai and experiencing the feeling that "once you climb to the top, you will see that other mountains are dwarfed under the sky". . For decades, although I have been to Tai 'an several times, I have never been able to climb the top of Mount Tai. Mr. Li Jianwu's regret that he climbed too late seems to be in debt to a long cultural tradition has always remained in my heart.

Thankfully, my daughter was admitted to Shandong University of Science and Technology at the foot of Mount Tai. When I sent my daughter back to school during the National Day holiday, my daughter and I arrived at school one day in advance and had close contact with Mount Tai for half a day. Although I didn't climb to the top of Mount Tai, I also enjoyed the pleasure of "visiting" Dai Temple, "reading" Daizongfang Arch Archway, crossing the Red Gate in Japanese order and visiting Tianwai Village Square.

"Visit" Dai Temple

Dai Temple is the largest and most complete ancient architectural complex in Mount Tai, and it is called the four ancient architectural complexes in China together with the Forbidden City, Qufu Sankong and Summer Resort. Dai Temple, also known as Dongyue Temple, Taiyue Temple and Daiyue Temple, is the place where emperors of past dynasties held amenorrhea and sacrifice to Mount Tai, just on the central axis from the south gate of the old Tai 'an in the south to the south gate of Daiding in the north. Dai Temple is 406 meters long from north to south and 237 meters wide from east to west, with a total area of 96,000 square meters. There are 86 antique buildings 186, 84 stone tablets 184, 48 Han reliefs, 2 ancient cypresses12 and 292 ornamental plants in the temple. After the founding of the People's Republic of China, it was once the residence of Taishan management organization and Tai 'an Museum.

A leaflet of "Dai Temple Tour" gave me a comprehensive understanding of Dai temples. "Visiting" Dai Temple, in fact, never entered Dai Temple, but started from the stone archway in front of Zhengyang Gate of Dai Temple, along Hong Men Road on the east outer wall, and went around to the north gate of Dai Temple.

The stone archway in front of Zhengyangmen Gate of Daimiao Temple is strewn at random, with relief all over, magnificent shape and exquisite carving. There is a vase in the middle of the main ridge and four donkey kong reinforcement on both sides. On the forehead square, there are two dragons playing with beads and Feng Dan facing the sun, as well as more than 30 lifelike auspicious bird pictures, such as lions crouching, cranes making lotus, wild and unconstrained style, magical horns fighting, and unicorn sending treasures. Couplets are engraved on both sides of the columns in the square, written by prominent officials in Shandong. The short and pithy words are neat and neat, with rich meanings, and the classics vividly depict the majestic grandeur of Daiyue Taishan and the majestic grandeur of Deze.

Facing the stone archway is a majestic and neat north-south gate-Zhengyangmen. Looking inward from the door, there is a towering Cooper, revealing a solemn. The quiet, solemn and peaceful atmosphere of the ancient temple makes people feel that things in life are much quieter and less complicated. If time permits, I'd like to walk into Zhengyangmen with others and see the ancient charm of ancient buildings in China.

Go east from Zhengyangmen, then turn left and walk north along the ancient and magnificent courtyard wall of black brick. I once boarded the ancient city wall in Pingyao, Shanxi, and got to know the structure of the ancient city wall. I pointed to the ancient courtyard wall all the way and explained to my daughter what the daughter crib on the courtyard wall was for. The courtyard wall is high outside and short inside, and the middle is very wide, so I can run a carriage on it. As for whether the wall of Dai Temple is the same, I just guess that there is no factual basis.

The north gate of Dai Temple is called Houzai Gate, and its architectural style is the same as that of Zhengyang Gate in the south gate, which coincides with the National Day. There are some stone carvings on the cliff of Mount Tai in Beimen Square, such as "Five Mountains alone", "the top of the sky", "the top of the mountain", "the world famous mountain" and "wonders" and so on. Taking pictures before carving and grinding rocks is a bit confusing.

"Visiting" Dai Temple, although I didn't really take a walk in the courtyard of Dai Temple, I really felt the charm of ancient architecture from the appearance of Dai Temple.

"Reading" replaces the ancestral arch

Come out from the north gate of Daimiao, walk north along Hong Men Road, and not far away is a stone workshop across the road-Daizongfang Arch archway.

Daizongfang archway, built on the platform, is a stone square with four columns and three doors. Its shape is rough and simple, and it is engraved with three golden characters "Daizongfang archway". Dai Zongfang archway, round-ridged beast, slightly upturned cornice, giving people a sense of agility and elegance; With the help of Mount Tai, the four pillars assisted by the front and rear stone pillars give people a sense of stability and integrity. There are two ancient monuments in front of the memorial archway of Daizongfang, one is the Taishan Imperial inscription rebuilt in Yongzheng nine years, and the other is the Taishan Monument.

Before coming to Daizongfang archway, several gardeners were busy renovating the flower beds in front of and behind Daizongfang archway. The National Day has passed, why is an ordinary stone workshop at Crossroads worth dressing up so carefully? An old gentleman who just walked out of the park in front of Dai Zongfang archway solved the mystery for me. The old man pointed to the weathered workshop in the archway of Daizongfang and told me that Mount Tai is the sacred mountain among the five mountains. At the beginning of climbing a mountain, it is natural to have a reminder sign to enter a famous mountain resort, so that people can converge their horizons, eliminate distractions and climb Mount Tai as if they were on the verge. Daizongfang Arch archway is a reminder to climb Mount Tai. It is not an ordinary cross stone workshop, but the gate of Mount Tai, the facade of Mount Tai, which is called the first side of Mount Tai. The old man's words made me respect Daizongfang archway. I carefully "read" Daizongfang archway back and forth, together with the ancient stone tablet in front of the workshop.

Only by carefully "reading" the Daizongfang Arch archway and the ancient stone tablet in front of Qian Fang can we know the important position of Daizongfang Arch archway in Mount Tai. Daizongfang archway was built in Qin Long in Ming Dynasty and rebuilt in Yongzheng period of Qing Dynasty. As the first square of Mount Tai, Daizongfang Arch is not only an isolated stone square, but also A Dai Temple in front of Daizongfang Arch. Dai Temple is a place for offering sacrifices to gods, which aims to reflect the earthly world where all sentient beings are closely related to real life. Climb along the climbing route from the north gate of Dai Temple to reach the mysterious "paradise" world. In the difficult climbing process from "Heaven" to "Heaven", the stone workshop not only accelerated the climbing pace, shortened the distance from human beings to "Heaven" and avoided the vastness and monotony of the climbing process of "Heaven", but also inspired people in the difficult climbing and made them realize the sacredness, loftiness and greatness of the mountain. In this way, Daizongfang Arch archway is not just an isolated stone workshop, but an inseparable part of Mount Tai. Climbing Mount Tai, Daizongfang Arch is the starting point.

Reading Daizongfang Arch archway is a unique experience of climbing Mount Tai. Although I haven't climbed Mount Tai, I can see all the mountains and hills in the world, so it's worth reading Daizongfang Arch.

Cross the day, cross the red gate.

After crossing the Daizongfang Arch Arch, you will enter Mount Tai tourist area. Although there is no need for tickets to visit for the time being, Tianmen, the boarding place of Confucius, Riling, Hong Men and Xiaotian Cave are still remarkable.

When I came to the Red Gate Cultural Market, I was really immersed in the unique atmosphere of tourist attractions. A series of tourist buses came in and out, and the crowds were woven. There are antique buildings along the street on both sides of the road, and they are all engaged in Taishan tourist souvenirs. Not far from the west gate of Hongmen Cultural Market, there are climbing stone steps. Climbing dozens of stone steps is a platform, facing Tianmen, which is a double-column single-door stone workshop built across the road. On both sides of the stone square, there is a monument inscribed by Yang Keda, an imperial envoy of the Supervision and Exchange Department of the Ming Dynasty, and a monument inscribed by Sun Jiajing, the state capital, which starts from the Tao. Li Shude, Governor of Duchayuan, inscribed "The Gate of One Day". There are foreheads, foreheads and lintels on the upper part of the square column, two layers of cornerstones are applied under the column, and rolling piers are applied on both sides of the column. There are four buckets on the forehead, which are supported by five ridges and four tones of imitation wood structure, and the ridge top is embossed. Honeysuckle patterns, flowers and moire patterns are embossed on the pier stone. When I came to the gate one day, I turned around and looked back. Although only a dozen steps are high, I suddenly feel condescending, as if I have reached the top of Mount Tai.

Passing through Tianmen, there is another stone archway in front of you. The words "Confucius landed" are engraved on the forehead of the square, and the scarlet handwriting is particularly eye-catching against the blue background. The place where Confucius boarded the ship was a stone bridge with four pillars and three doors. Gu Teng is elegant and dignified. A couplet is engraved on the square column: "Wang Su passed down through the ages alone, and the Lord celebrated the Millennium from afar." There are two stone tablets on each side of the stone square, and on the east side is the tablet "Ascending to Self-sufficiency" inscribed by Zhai Tao, Tongzhi of Jinan Prefecture, during Jiajing period of Ming Dynasty. On the west side is a monument titled "The First Mountain" by Li Fuchu, Governor of Shandong Province. According to legend, Confucius "climbed the East Mountain to build a path, climbed Mount Tai to build a small world", which was the place where Confucian scholars must visit. I have a special intention to visit the places visited by Confucius, the founder of Confucianism more than 2500 years ago.

Passing through the stone square where Confucius climbed, ten steps away is Riling Square, which is built entirely of stone. Day steps mean stone steps leading to heaven. Mount Tai is majestic and tall, extremely steep in the sky, with triple doors on the top. It is called "climbing a mountain is like climbing to heaven", so it is called "Japanese order".

After Riling Square, there is the Red Gate, named after a red stone like a door on the cliff in Lingnan. The date of its establishment cannot be verified. The existing buildings were rebuilt in the Ming and Qing Dynasties. Red Gate is divided into East House and Westinghouse, with Maitreya Hall in the east, Red Gate Palace in the west and Non-Cloud Pavilion in the middle. Passing through the Red Gate is Wanxian Building, the ticket office for mountaineering. Because I didn't have enough time to climb the mountain, I had to stop here and took people who didn't want to climb the mountain to the deep cave in the northeast of Hongmen Palace. Cliffs at the bottom of the valley are green and waterfalls are flying. From north to south, there are wicker, horse drinking and Shi Xia Bay. There are many cylindrical iron-black boulders on the edge of the valley, whose cross sections are wrapped in layers, like dead annual rings, engraved with "ecstasy". Mei Cheng, a writer in the Han Dynasty, said that "Mount Tai went down through the stone", commonly known as Heishibao, is a kind of ring-shaped jadeite porphyrite, which is rare at home and abroad. Here, there is a valley winding around, Qingxi Bitan, lush mountains, dense vines and unique caves.

Visit Tianwai Village

There are two mountain passes in Mount Tai. One is to climb from Hong Men, and the other is to go down from Tianwai Village. The second is to climb the mountain from Tianwai Village, and the Red Gate goes down the mountain. Since there is no chance to climb the top of Mount Tai, I have to go to another mountain pass to feel it.

We got off at Tianwaicun Square in Taishan by bus and visited Tianwaicun Square. Two landmarks stand on both sides of the entrance to the square, one is the "World Cultural and Natural Heritage" on the right, and the other is the "China National Scenic Area" on the left, which indicates that Mount Tai is not only a famous mountain in China, but also a precious heritage of all mankind.

Let's enter the square first, and the center of the square is inlaid with pottery symbols and patterns from Dawenkou culture. Below the pattern is a mountain, with a burning fire in the middle and the sun above. This pattern depicts the meditation activities of Mount Tai. Retreat Zen is a religious activity held by Emperor China in Mount Tai to worship the God of heaven and earth. Earth is built on the top of Mount Tai to worship heaven, and its contribution to heaven is called "harmony". On the hill below Mount Tai, a square altar is set up to worship the land and report its merits, which is called "Zen". It is said that before the pre-Qin period, 72 emperors offered sacrifices to Mount Tai. According to official records, there are twelve emperors who sacrificed to Mount Tai or offered sacrifices to Mount Tai. It is in this way that the sacrifices made to Mount Tai in the past dynasties established the revered position of Mount Tai among many famous mountains. On the 42 railings around the square square, there are various flowers and plants on Mount Tai engraved on the outside, and the famous sayings of famous people chanting Mount Tai are engraved inside, accompanied by embossed landscape patterns. "Climbing Mount Tai and making the world small" is Mencius' understanding of Mount Tai in the pre-Qin period. "Climbing to the top, you can see at a glance that other mountains are short in the sky." The famous poem is Wang Yue written by Du Fu, a poet in the Tang Dynasty. These poems and paintings set each other off, which fully embodies the rich historical and cultural heritage of Mount Tai.

Going forward is the stone carving meditation corridor leading to the circular square. The deep relief in the middle of the corridor shows the scene of Emperor Xuanzong sealing Mount Tai in the prosperous time of Kaiyuan, and depicts the grand scene of Emperor Xuanzong sealing Mount Tai in four parts: sacrifice, sealing the sky, meditation and pilgrimage. Twelve stone pillars stand on both sides of the promenade, symbolizing the smooth circulation. Stone pillars hover around Kowloon, with different shapes and lifelike. They are used to represent the twelve emperors who closed their eyes and meditated or sacrificed on Mount Tai, such as Huangdi, Shun Di, Zhou Wuwang, Qin Shihuang, Han Wudi, Guangwudi, Sui Wendi, Tang Gaozong, Tang Wenzong, Song Zhenzong, Qing Kangxi and Qing Qianlong.

Further on is the circular square. The circular square is the ticket office and parking lot, and we just look around on the railing. Seeing many tourists playing on the exposed grotesque and colorful Taishan stone in the ravine in the northeast of the square, we also walked along the ravine and enjoyed the infinite charm of natural Taishan stone.

Try to climb to the top of the mountain: it dwarfs all the peaks under our feet. Mount Tai, I will definitely climb to the top and personally feel Du Fu's feelings of "looking for Yue".
