The meaning is straightforward and easy to understand. But to understand its subtlety, we still need to ponder it carefully.
"Wash and Dress, Leaning Alone on the Wangjiang Tower" is about the heroine getting up in the morning, rushing to wash and dress, and leaning alone on the Wangjiang Tower to look out. From these eight words, we should be able to read several meanings:
(1) "Wash and Dress" points out that the time is in the morning, which also paves the way for the evening (oblique light) below. Mr. Tang Guizhang said in A Brief Interpretation of Tang and Song Ci that this is the toilet after a nap. If the time is short for half a day, the following sentence "After Qian Fan" will be lost for a long time, which seems to be undesirable.
(2) Wash and Dress implies the heroine's expectation of longing to go home. If it weren't for this mood, she might be as lazy as Wen said in his words, "Bodhisattva crosses the river and the hills overlap with gold." "A woman is pleasing to herself" is meaningful to her sweetheart. It is precisely because she expects her husband to come back and hope that he can see his beautiful appearance that she will dress carefully.
(3) The word "strike" followed by "solitary" reflects the heroine's eagerness-get up at dawn and rush to Jianglou as soon as she finishes grooming.
(4) Since she hurried to Jianglou early in the morning and looked out a little, she should still feel that her thoughts should not be suddenly generated after getting up in the morning. She may have stayed up all night last night and missed it all night. Or she dreamed of good omen last night, so she couldn't wait to get to Wangjianglou early.
(5) Further, from today to yesterday, from yesterday to the day before yesterday, did she come here every day to look forward to her return?
The word "independence" not only expresses her loneliness, but also implies her separation from her sweetheart, and also echoes the following symbol of "Bai Pingzhou" (see below for details).
"Too many Qian Fan are nothing", she wrote the process of alternating hope and disappointment. Every time there is a boat in the distance, she is looking forward to it. As the boat gets closer, her heart is getting more and more nervous and her hope is getting bigger and bigger. But the ship moved relentlessly at the top of the building. How disappointed she was when she realized that this was not the ship she was waiting for!
But at this moment, she is not completely disappointed. Her fantasy urges her to look into the distance again ... In this way, in the alternation of countless hopes and disappointments, her inner injury is getting more and more serious. At the same time, this sentence also shows the long time she expected, her infatuation and persistence. "Qian Fan" is synonymous with "a thousand ships", but this is not just a difference in rhetorical methods. The farther the boat is on the water, the more you can see the sail instead of the boat. Li Bai's "Lonely sail shadows the sky, only the Yangtze River flows in the sky" is about getting on the boat and turning it upside down. Isn't this how the homesick woman looks forward to getting on the boat? Therefore, a word "sail" leads the reader's eyes to the distance, making the reader think between the lines. Women are looking forward to people's return.
It's time for the sun to set, and the expectations in the morning gradually fade away with the setting sun. This oblique glow is still affectionate and infinitely sympathetic to the unfortunate situation of the heroine. Why did the person she expected be so heartless and abandon her? Running water is the endless tenderness in the heroine's heart, her youth passing away day by day, and endless infinite sadness.
"heartbroken Bai Pingzhou", when the sadness is full and the twilight fades, the heroine's eyes just meet Bai Pingzhou, where they broke up that year. How can she not be heartbroken? Zhu Guangqian believes that "deleting the words' heartbroken Bai Pingzhou' means more endless." Because of the first few words, I have written the image of a homesick woman leaning against the building waiting for someone to return but disappointed again and again. The sentence "Xie Hui" is full of emotion, which is enough to give people unlimited association space. If you paint "heartbroken" and spill it everywhere, the spirit and form are gone, that is failure. This is very reasonable.
In addition, it should be noted that "Wangjianglou" and "Baipingzhou" have their own advantages. Wangjianglou is located on the Jinjiang River outside the East Gate of Chengdu, Sichuan. Baipingzhou is the name of the Tang Dynasty, and now it is called Lianhuazhuang, which is located on the Tiaoxi River in the southeast of Huzhou, Zhejiang. But in this word, neither is the exact meaning. Wangjianglou here refers to a building overlooking the river, which cannot be understood as a place alone. Baipingzhou refers to a small house with white apples in the river. White apple is a kind of grass floating in water, and its color is white. In ancient times, men and women often picked apple flowers to give away, so white apple island was often used as a reference in ancient poems.
Another feature of the whole poem is the use of emotional relaxation. (1) "Qian Fan too much is nothing" contains thousands of small emotional relaxation; (2) From this day on, it is another big relaxation process-from the nervous look full of expectation when we set sail for the first time in the morning to the heartbreaking loss in the oblique photo; (3) Due to the limitation of space, the poet only captures the hope of missing a woman for one day, but if the separation of missing a woman and missing a lover is not a day, then her missing is naturally not a day. In this perennial yearning, isn't her mood a greater relaxation process?
