The three-day seminar is entitled "Ba Jin and Contemporary", which is divided into three topics: the role and significance of Ba Jin's creation and thoughts on the development of contemporary literature, the exchange of classic Ba Jin's creation and contemporary ideology and culture, and the relationship between newly discovered Ba Jin's literature and contemporary ideology and culture.
"I think our best memorial to Ba Lao today is to realize his wishes and goals to the letter." In an exclusive interview with reporters, scholar AARON Li said emotionally.
Ask the national map to give books.
654381October 25th at 3: 30 pm, on the third floor of Jiaxing Sunshine Hotel. After Chen Sihe and Fuhui Wu, professors of Fudan University and vice presidents of the School of Humanities, finished their speeches, AARON Li, the host on the rostrum, was emotional and made a statement in the name of Ba Jin Literature Research Association: he asked the National Library to announce to the whole society the results of the investigation and handling of the loss of books donated by Ba Lao three years ago.
Southern Weekend published on June 65438+February 65438+February 9, 2002, entitled "Who desecrated Ba Jin? -Ba Jin's book donation family pursued the manuscript and published a report on the loss of Ba Jin's book donation incident in the National Library. After the incident was disclosed, Guotu experienced a process from denial to recognition.
After Ba Jin's family sent a letter to the National Library asking for "returning the manuscript donated by his father: Volume V of Spring, Autumn, Cold Night, Resting Garden, Essays and Family Pages", the National Library sent someone to Shanghai to have face-to-face communication with Ba Jin's daughter and son Li Jin. They explained the loss of books due to work and promised.
However, time flies for three years, and the National Library has not fulfilled its promise. Until the death of Ba Lao, the National Library never communicated and explained this matter with Ba Jin's family. Li Xiaolin said, "They haven't called since that meeting. We don't know anything. "
As a researcher of Ba Jin, AARON Li, an editor of People's Daily, found a book donated by Ba Lao who lost his national map in the second-hand book market in Panjiayuan, Beijing. After the loss of the national map was confirmed, he interviewed the person in charge of the National Library in the name of People's Daily.
"At that time, they promised me that they would seriously investigate the matter and announce the results of the investigation to the public, giving an account to Ba Lao, his family and the national press including People's Daily. As a result, up to now, the National Library has no answers and explanations. " Recalling the scene at that time, AARON Li still felt angry and confused.
Zhou Limin, deputy secretary general of Ba Jin Literature Research Association, made an unannounced visit to the National Library. He went to the library and borrowed books according to the book list that Ba Lao gave to the National Library. As a result, the staff said to him, "Some of the books you borrowed are available, and some are not."
"Why not?" Li-min zhou asked. Later, he got the result that some books given by Ba Lao were not in the library and could not be found at all. Therefore, Zhou Limin suspects that there is no complete list of books donated by Ba Lao in the national map, and the distribution of books and periodicals has not been carefully counted, let alone effective protection and management.
The loss of books donated by Ba Jin has caused a bad influence on society. At the seminar, a well-known cultural old man wanted to learn from the books given by Ba Lao. He said that he would rather sell his books as waste than donate them to the national library.
The speeches of AARON Li and Zhou Limin aroused strong response from more than 70 scholars at the seminar. Rodionov, a professor of Oriental Studies at the University of Petersburg, told reporters that this was the first time he had heard of such an incident. "Whether in Russia or in China, it is unthinkable that such a thing should happen. It is not normal for the library to treat Ba Jin's books like this. I hope these books can be found as soon as possible. I can't imagine that books donated by respected writers like Ba Lao will be lost and sold. "
Odrov, a scholar who has had decades of friendship with Ba Jin, once donated books to the Russian National Library. The special room of the Russian National Library put his donated books together and named the library after Odrov, which was open to readers.
Yoshi Sakai, a Japanese professor at hitotsubashi university, couldn't understand what had happened. "This is definitely not something, such a thing has never been heard of in Japan. If it happens, public opinion will have a very fierce reaction, and the leader of this library will take the blame and resign. The person directly responsible will be punished by law, apologize to the people and bear corresponding responsibilities. "
Li Xiqing, a scholar at Suwon University, believes that "even a very popular book has intangible value, because it is donated by celebrities and signed by celebrities. Researchers can use this to understand the reading process of celebrities, understand his spiritual and ideological composition, and make value judgments on his academic achievements. "
Therefore, the atmosphere of the venue became serious. Many scholars have expressed their opinions on this matter, asking the National Library to keep its promise, publish the survey results and improve book management.
It is reported that the Ba Jin Literature Research Association will send a letter to the National Library in the near future, demanding that the investigation results and handling opinions on this matter be published as soon as possible.
Literature museum? Archive?
Although more than ten years have passed, Fuhui Wu, the current deputy director of China Museum of Modern Literature, still remembers that1March 26th, 985, China Museum of Modern Literature was established in Manju Collection near the West Third Ring Road. On the opening day of the Literature Museum, Ba Jin took out an envelope from his pants and handed it to Yang Li, the curator at that time. Yang Li opened it and found money and coins in it. Ba Jin said to him seriously, "I just got the manuscript fee for a book and gave it to the Literature Museum."
It was Ba Jin's dream in his later years to establish China Modern Literature Museum. I feel that the "Cultural Revolution" denied everything. Most writers are labeled as "ghosts" and their works are denied as "poisonous weeds". Only eight model operas and one writer stayed in this country. Ba Jin believes that those writers who were overthrown during the Cultural Revolution contributed to literature and needed an institution to introduce their lives and works. Another reason is that after the Cultural Revolution, many modern literature materials were destroyed, abandoned and lost.
"It can be said that the Museum of Modern Literature was established to oppose the Cultural Revolution and the modern literature that was definitely denied by the Cultural Revolution." Yi Shu, former director of the Museum of Modern Literature, said.
From 1979, the idea of establishing China Modern Literature Museum appeared in Ba Jin's mind. 198 1 04 February 14, Ba Jin first proposed the establishment of China Modern Literature Museum in the eleventh chapter of Memoirs of Creation About a Cold Night and Postscript of Memoirs of Creation. This initiative was officially published in People's Daily on March 198 1 and immediately aroused strong repercussions at home and abroad. 1981April, the presidium of the Chinese Writers Association adopted Ba Lao's suggestion and wrote to the Central Committee requesting the establishment of a modern literature museum.
Through Ba Jin's call sign, 1983 established the preparatory office of China Modern Literature Museum. 1March, 985, China Museum of Modern Literature was listed, and it was located in Manju Collection near the West Third Ring Road. 1996 the foundation stone was laid for the new China modern literature museum.
In order to solve the funding problem, Ba Jin donated 250,000 yuan to the Museum of Modern Literature, and also donated 7,765 books, magazines, manuscripts, letters and photos he had collected for many years.
Inspired by Ba Jin, Mao Dun's relatives gave all Mao Dun's suicide notes and used objects to the Literature Museum. Under Ba Jin's persuasion, Tang Tao, as a literary collector, gave away his collection:15,000 magazines and 35,000 books, many of which were orphans.
There are more than 300,000 collections in the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Literature, including 6.5438+07 million books, 2.65438+000 magazines, more than 90,000 books and 654.38+00970 manuscripts. It is the largest and most authoritative library of literary manuscripts in China.
"In my dream, I stood in front of the museum several times and saw people coming in and out talking and laughing. When I woke up, I still regarded my dream as a reality and smiled alone in bed. " In hakuouki zuisouroku, Ba Jin said this.
Fuhui Wu told reporters that in the famous proposal, the word "information" was used at first, but it was removed in the preparation process, because it can carry more content.
The literary museum in Ba Jin's mind is a data center, which is composed of writers themselves. It collects, sorts out and provides all the materials of modern literature in China, the works of all writers since the May 4th Movement, as well as books, manuscripts and letters related to them, so as to make a summary of the development of modern literature, and it is a place where people know the "beauty of the soul" of literature and China people.
"Now the Literature Museum is a bureau-level administrative unit, which seems to be a place to arrange cadres. Its development and change is far from Ba Jin's original idea, and it is more like a cultural landscape, so luxurious that it is used to visit exhibitions, and whoever pays can use it. Of course, we should develop Ba Lao's things, but the direction should be to his original intention. It's not bad to set up a literature exhibition hall, but you have built it so luxuriously and edited it so much, but there is no research department. After so many years of establishment, modern literature research has made no achievements. " The current situation of AARON Li Literature Museum is that "love is cut and pain is hated".
"Now the Museum of Literature engraves Ba Jin's handprint on the door, with his seal cast on it, and his statue stands at the door. I think Ba Jin may not agree to this when he is sober, because he doesn't want to highlight himself in the museum of literature. He is a man who doesn't highlight himself. However, the current literary museum gives people a bad impression, as if the literary museum was built for Ba Jin. "
Shao Yanxiang believes that the statue of the May 4th New Literature Movement in the Literature Museum lacks the standard-bearers of literary revolution and literary improvement like Hu Shi and Chen Duxiu, which is a huge defect, which means that our avoidance and escape from the historical truth is not in line with Ba Lao's wishes. Next month, the second and third phases of the Literature Museum with a total area of 1.6 million square meters will be started soon. AARON Li hopes that the Literature Museum can actually prepare for some academic research.
Possible scheme of cultural revolution museum
On the morning of October 25th, 65438/KLOC-0, the painter Ryan shed tears. "Ba Jin is the conscience of the nation. I dare not do bad things when I think of him. Ba Jin's greatest wish before his death was to establish the Cultural Revolution Museum. Before you forget that history, we should collect more relevant information from now on. "
Li Xiaolin, Ba Jin's daughter, said in an interview with Phoenix Weekly, "The Cultural Revolution Museum is my father's only unfulfilled wish." Bing Xin's daughter, Light Dance, also said in an interview with reporters, "Uncle Ba Jin's greatest wish before his death was to establish a literary museum and a museum of the Cultural Revolution. However, only one of these two goals has been achieved. "
1986, Ba Jin put forward the idea of establishing the Cultural Revolution Museum in his essay "Essays Museum of Cultural Revolution". He said: "Not letting history repeat itself should not be just empty talk. It's best to build a Cultural Revolution Museum to explain what happened in China 20 years ago with concrete and real events and thrilling scenes! I don't have a complete plan or thorough consideration, but I have a firm belief that this is the right thing to do, and it is everyone's responsibility to build the Cultural Revolution Museum in China. I only said one sentence, and I waited for others to say the rest. "
"Ten years of catastrophe is how to start? How did man become a beast? We should always be the same. " "Only those who firmly remember the' Cultural Revolution' can prevent the recurrence of history and prevent the' Cultural Revolution' from coming again." For fear of history repeating itself, Ba Jin is afraid of dreaming at night.
1On June 23rd, 995, Ba Jin Hangzhou Sanatorium wrote a brief preface for the updated version of Ten Years and One Dream: "Ten Years and One Dream! I was driven to sleep, and I was cheated to sleep. I was tortured and shed blood beside sleepless nights. What a heavy dream, what a hard day, I keep seeing bloody palms, and I miss my lost Xiao Shan. The dream came at me with white teeth that ate people. When I was in pain, I heard the bad news of some friends one after another. They all ended their lives with their own hands. The price of dreams is too high. I'm not a soldier! I can live to this day, not because of my bravery, but because I believe in a truth: any dream will wake up. "
This year, it was the 30th anniversary of the Cultural Revolution, and Ba Jin, who was over 90 years old, made another sound. During this year, Ba Jin also wrote a postscript for the large-scale catalogue Museum of Cultural Revolution. The large-scale catalogue "Museum of Cultural Revolution" was published at the end of 1995, containing thousands of historical photos. This is by far the most complete and powerful work on the history of the Cultural Revolution.
Ba Jin not only promised to put his article "Museum of Cultural Revolution" written in 1986 at the beginning of the book, but also wrote an inscription with trembling hands: "Don't let the historical tragedy repeat itself". When meeting with the author of this book, Ba Jin said, "This should be done."
Ryan also has an old dress. She was imprisoned during the Cultural Revolution. She wore it for seven years, and her husband Huang Miaozi had worn it before. Every weekend, she receives some needlework, which brings her great happiness in the prison life where time is still. Ryan believes that before the establishment of the Cultural Revolution Museum, the Museum of Modern Literature should undertake the responsibility of collecting exhibition materials during the Cultural Revolution. She said she was willing to donate this suit.
Shao Yanxiang said: "Ba Jin left a profound legacy to the people of China all his life. Approaching it, taking stock of it and inheriting it are the first things that the ideological and cultural circles should do. The establishment of the Cultural Revolution Museum can make people reflect on history. The best way for us to commemorate Ba Lao is to realize Ba Lao's last wish, open up and create a space for telling the truth unimpeded, and make telling the truth a social atmosphere and universal mentality. "
AARON Li's suggestion is more specific: "Before the establishment of the Cultural Revolution Museum, can the Literature Museum undertake some of the functions of the Cultural Revolution Museum proposed by Ba Lao in Random Thoughts, such as at least becoming the Cultural Revolution Museum in the cultural and artistic circles. There are so many exhibition halls in the Literature Museum now, is it possible for us to take one exhibition hall and make a permanent exhibition? This is an idea of mine. " (Editor: Jiang Zhi)
