The second bridge was completed at Dandong Yalu River Bridge in April 1937, and opened to traffic in April 1943, less than 100 meters from the upstream of the first bridge. The Yalu River Bridge is 946.2 meters long, of which the Chinese Bridge is 569.9 meters long. According to news reports, the bridge deck overhaul project invested more than two million yuan, which was invested by Shenyang Railway Bureau and undertaken by Dandong Works Section of Shenyang Railway Bureau. The project is closed around the clock from Thursday to Sunday at 23: 00, and the customs clearance is normal at other times. This project will be completed in late October of this year/kloc-0. After this renovation, the bearing capacity of the bridge deck will be increased from 10 ton to 20 tons. During the maintenance of the bridge, only tourist and trade vehicles are allowed to drive from Monday to Wednesday, while the road sections are closed from Thursday to Sunday, and the railway transportation remains normal.
