Introduction to Helen Keller:
Helen Keller. She has good hearing and sharp speech. Her parents still hope that she will become a musician! However, when she was one and a half years old, a serious illness (scarlet fever) took away her hearing and vision, and then she lost the ability to express herself in language, making her seem to be in a dark prison from which she could not escape.
Since Helen was deaf and blind since childhood, her family had to hire a teacher to educate her. With the help of Mr. Anax, the dean of Perkins College, Helen was sent a teacher named Anne. ?Sullivan's teacher went to tutor her. It was Sullivan who changed Helen's life. After a long train journey, teacher Anne Sullivan arrived safely in Tuscanbia by carriage on March 3, 1887. When teacher Sullivan arrived at the door of Helen's house, she saw Helen. Like a kitten that fell into the water: brown hair is scattered, fine clothes are soiled. In Helen's memory, people who came by carriage often had candies, toys and other things in their suitcases. So, she took out all the things. Sullivan was shocked and quickly took back the suitcase, but Helen rushed towards her angrily. If Helen's father hadn't stopped them, both of them would have rolled to the ground. The next morning there was another breakfast war. All subsequent events softened Helen's rebellious character. Finally Helen gave in, she learned to speak, and graduated with honors from Radcliffe College in the United States. She became a well-known writer and educator who was knowledgeable and knowledgeable in five languages: English, French, German, Latin and Greek. She traveled around the United States and around the world to raise funds for schools for the blind, and dedicated her life to the welfare and education of the blind. She has won praise from people all over the world and received awards from many governments
