Cameron Kian Anthony (1born on May 29th, 984), nicknamed "Melo", is an American professional basketball player and currently plays for the new york Knicks of the National Basketball Association (NBA). After a successful high school career at Bishop Towson High School and Oak Hill College, Anthony entered Syracuse University, where he led the Orange Team to win their first national championship in 2003. He won the most outstanding player award in the tournament and was named the most valuable player in NCAA East. After a season at Syracuse University, Anthony left the university to participate in the 2003 NBA draft, where he was selected as the third overall pick by the Nuggets. He was traded to the Knicks a few days before the 20 1 1 trading deadline. Since entering the NBA, Anthony has become one of the most famous and popular players in the league. He was selected for the best rookie team four times, the All-Star team four times and the NBA team four times. Anthony led the Nuggets to win two division titles and entered the playoffs every year from 2004 to 20 10. In 2009, he helped the Nuggets advance to the Western Conference finals for the first time since 1985. As a member of the American national team, Anthony won a bronze medal in the 2004 Olympic Games and a gold medal in the 2008 Olympic Games.
