Four Confucian saints:

Four Confucian saints refer to Confucius, Yan Hui, Ceng Zi and Mencius. Confucianism came into being in the Spring and Autumn Period, and gradually became the orthodox thought in China feudal society. Many thinkers contributed to the emergence and development of Confucianism, and four of them were honored as "saints" by later generations. They are Confucius, Yan Hui, Ceng Zi and Mencius.
