Which is the best dictionary of idioms that primary school students must read?

I haven’t seen a particularly good dictionary of business idioms. The "Xinhua Idiom Dictionary" for business is medium-sized. I think it is not enough, and the quality is actually not perfect. There is also an idiom dictionary with color pictures (I forgot the name) published by Business International. It is very bad, so don’t buy it.

1. For multiple entries, you can choose "Hanyu Dictionary of Idioms", Chinese Dictionary Press. There are small books for 50 yuan and large books for 100 yuan. This one is more authoritative (because it is taken from the very authoritative "Chinese Dictionary").

2. There are many entries in "The Complete Collection of Chinese Idioms", Sichuan Dictionary Publishing House, and the explanations are relatively simple (compared to the previous book and the following books). This book is not as authoritative as the others, so it is not particularly recommended.

Both the above two volumes contain more than 20,000 entries. The former contains mostly uncommon idioms in ancient Chinese, while the latter also incorporates some idiom-based common sayings.

In addition to the above two, we recommend:

3. "Dictionary of Chinese Idioms" by Shanghai Dictionary Publishing House. A very authoritative and award-winning book, the title of the late famous linguist Wang Liti. It was written by the same person who wrote Cihai, and there are many similar interpretations. The content is detailed and contains more than 18,000 words, which is enough for common use. The disadvantage is that it was published before 1986, and the phonetic notation of some words is the old standard, which is slightly different from the current standard implemented in 1986. There is a reduced version.

4. "Chinese Idiom Dictionary" by Zhonghua Book Company. You can tell from the publisher that it is very authoritative. The number of collected words is also around 18,000. The pronunciation seems to be the new standard, forget it.

5. "Dictionary of Chinese Idioms" by Jilin Literature and History Publishing House. Although the publishing house is not very famous, the editor is very strong, the editing is very good, and the influence is great. The title of the book was inscribed by Zhao Puchu, and inscribed by Wang Li, Lu Shuxiang, and Zhou Zumo (terrifying!). The collection of words is more than 12,000, but it is actually no less than the above, because it explains many idioms with different synonyms in the same entry, unlike the previous books which are all separated. It is also the old pronunciation standard. There is a reduced version.

The three books 3-5 above are of similar quality, have about the same number of entries, and are about the same price (priced at RMB 60 to RMB 70). It's pretty much the same thing to use.

I own books 1, 3, and 5 above (I have this hobby). I bought 2 and 4 for my brother and have also used them. They are all OK. 2 has fewer examples. Among them, 1 and 2 are new pronunciation standards, which are suitable for people who are not sure about pronunciation and people who are relatively clear about pronunciation (as long as they can distinguish the differences between old and new pronunciation, if they don’t understand, they can be solved by looking up the "Modern Chinese Dictionary"). I I would rather recommend the next three books. Because although 1 contains a lot of words, many uncommon words are not used, and some common words between idioms and colloquialisms are not included. 3 and 5 are great to use. 4 I don’t use it very much, but the quality is guaranteed and the feeling is similar.

Finally, among the common idiom dictionaries on the market, except for the above ones (which are actually very difficult to find at the same time), I have not seen any better ones.
