Unjust wealth is like a cloud to me. It means: wealth and official positions occupied by improper means are like clouds in the sky to me.
"The Analects of Confucius Zi Han": "Confucius said: The knower is not confused, the benevolent is not worried, and the brave is not afraid."
Don't do to others what you don't want others to do to you. Later, Confucianism emphasized "don't do to others what you don't want others to do to you" to implement "benevolent government".
The theory of evil nature was put forward by Xunzi and included in Mencius' theoretical works. The essence of human nature mentioned by Xunzi is the "primitive simplicity" nature that doesn't care about good and evil. There is both the possibility of turning into evil and the opportunity of developing into good. Xunzi's theory of evil nature is unique among hundreds of theories about human nature in the pre-Qin period, and its significance to today's later generations is worth thinking about. Like Mencius, Xunzi believed that eating, drinking, getting angry and so on were all innate feelings of human beings, which could not be avoided and shared by all people. But Xunzi and Mencius are different in the relationship between temperament and benevolence. Mencius regards food color and benevolence and righteousness as innate human nature, in which benevolence and righteousness are average and food color is small; Benevolence is like bear's paw and food is like fish. Xunzi believes that human nature is limited to emotional desires such as eating and drinking, being angry, loving and hating, and making profits, and it is the same for "gentlemen" and "villains". Therefore, Xunzi said, "A man's life is also a solid villain." "beginning of life, a man with a solid nature" is called "evil nature". As for benevolence and righteousness, it is acquired by what you have learned and done the day after tomorrow.
