"Kindness is measured, patience is measured" is a Buddhist term. "Zhouyi Kun Classical Chinese" says: Do good deeds and accumulate virtue. But kindness does not mean that we have no bottom line. Kindness needs wisdom, and some kindness needs moderation. Too much goodwill is also a disaster. Don't use your kindness to help evil, and don't let your tolerance become a way for others to use you.
At the beginning of life, human nature is good. Buddha taught us to be kind and try our best to help others. Kindness is the Buddha's heart. Even people who have hurt us can help, and so can people of good and evil. But kindness without a bottom line sometimes feeds people without conscience and eventually becomes an enemy that devours us. There is a limit to everything. Too much is not enough, just like not doing enough.
