During holidays, we take our children to the Great Wall in Beijing and the Shanghai Science and Technology Museum to experience the natural scenery and urban culture and increase their perception. Be patient and meticulous, proceed step by step, and appreciate guidance to increase interest. School education is systematic and strict, while family education is warm and casual. It is very important to combine school education and family education. When my son first entered elementary school, he was very interested in learning. But in the third grade, with the increase in homework and the increase in study pressure, resistance gradually began to develop. When I get home, I don’t want to do my homework. I either watch TV or play on the computer. After I discovered it, I started by cultivating interest in learning and actively guided it. The first is to provide homework guidance. Part of the child's resistance comes from the large workload and difficult problems. I give up my leisure time to accompany my child to do homework, and provide patient and meticulous tutoring, paying special attention to key guidance on difficult areas. Gradually teach methods and guide the way from shallow to deep to improve learning efficiency. The second is to arrange time reasonably and achieve a balance between work and rest. At my suggestion, my son took the curriculum home and asked his father to help him print it out and add his schedule below. Now it has become a habit for children to study and do activities according to time, and they can do it easily every day. The third is to seize the shining point and appreciate the guidance. I find every time my children make progress, I praise them in a timely manner. In particular, we should focus on appreciating and guiding areas where he is interested and has expertise to enhance his self-confidence and motivation for learning. Guide children to change from "I want to learn" to "I want to learn." The fourth is to teach by words and deeds and create a strong learning atmosphere. Neither of us as husband and wife are in the habit of playing mahjong, chatting, or watching bubble dramas. After dinner, my son does his homework, I prepare lessons or provide tutoring, and my husband reads or looks up information online. Since they do not influence each other but restrain each other, the children will naturally calm down and learn. In their spare time, the whole family can watch TV, listen to music, and carry out family entertainment activities together. Over time, good study habits, interest, motivation and perseverance have been developed, and grades have gradually improved.
In short, I integrate education into the daily life of the family, create a positive learning atmosphere in the family, and enhance parent-child interaction and mutual improvement. Focus on teaching children to learn to be happy, learn to learn, learn to live, learn to do things, learn to be a good person, and grow up healthily. At present, the child's grades have always been within the top five in the class. In the final exam at the end of last year, he ranked first in his grade. He has been rated as "Three Good Students" and "Outstanding Young Pioneers" many times. Although I have achieved certain results, my child is still young and there is still a long way to go. I am full of confidence in the future. I will continue to do a good job in family education and make greater contributions to the development of the "double qualifications" activity.
