Emperor Qianlong made many pilgrimages to Wutai Mountain and boarded Wutai Mountain in his life. The answer to this question is given by the imperial pen of Emperor Qianlong, which has been preserved to this day, on the wheel of the Tatayuan Temple: "The two pagodas are the only ones left today, and there is a famous saying that what is done will be bad." If you are looking for relics and silk hair, you don't know Manjusri and the Buddha. "

The two pagodas in the poem refer to the two most famous pagodas in Tayuan Temple. One is the Great White Pagoda of Sakyamuni Buddha, and the other is Manjusri Pagoda. However, by the time Emperor Qianlong made five salutes, Manjushri Pagoda had collapsed, leaving only the Great White Pagoda standing tall. This "what is done will be bad" is also the law that Manjusri Bodhisattva said. "If a person sits still for a moment, it will be better than building seven pagodas in Hengsha. After all, the pagodas will turn to dust, and one mind will become enlightenment." No matter how beautiful the seven pagodas are, they will turn to dust one day; Everything in the world, from the external mountains and rivers, to wealth, reputation, status, to our physical and spiritual world, is all bad and empty in an instant. This "you" with famous sayings, the "you" of all laws is false "you", it is the name "you", it is the law of impermanence, not the law of permanent residence ?

So the third and fourth sentences of Emperor Qianlong said, "If you look for relics and silk, you will not know Manjusri and the Buddha." If you come to Wutai Mountain and want to see the relics of Sakyamuni Buddha and the hair of Manjusri Bodhisattva, then you can't see Manjusri Bodhisattva or the Buddha. ?

When we come to Wutai Mountain, if we still look at each other in the same way, we will only see rocks and scenery. It seems that the scenery is not as good as other famous mountains and rivers, unlike some places where there are waterfalls, jungles, rugged rocks and clouds, it seems that there is nothing strange.

If you come to Wutai Mountain, you can gradually learn the truth taught by Bodhisattva, see the constant, clean and immortal in the impermanence method, and realize that everything you see, the eyes, ears, nose, tongue, body and mind, the touch of color, sound, fragrance and touch are all false, illusory and the name is "you", which is just a famous saying. Therefore, to see Manjusri Bodhisattva, we should see it from the top of Buddhism.
