In the modern history of China, Teachers’ Day has been celebrated on different dates many times. It was not until 1985 that the ninth meeting of the Standing Committee of the Sixth National People's Congress passed the State Council's resolution on the establishment of Teachers' Day, and September 10, 1985, was truly determined as China's first Teachers' Day.
