Zhang Qicheng, born in 1959 in Huizhou, Anhui Province, holds a Ph.D. in philosophy from Peking University. He is currently the director of the library of Beijing University of Chinese Medicine, a professor at Beijing University of Chinese Medicine, a doctoral supervisor, and a director of the China Yi Study and Science Committee.
