CCTV Mid-Autumn Evening, referred to as CCTV Autumn Evening, is a variety show held by CCTV to celebrate the Chinese nation's annual traditional festival Mid-Autumn Festival. Xie Lan is a guest of CCTV Mid-Autumn Festival, a member of China Old People's Painting and Calligraphy Art Committee, a member of China International Painting and Calligraphy Art Association, a senior artist specially invited by China Painting and Calligraphy Research Institute and China Painting Academy, an art consultant of China Painting and Calligraphy Art Garden Network, and a vice president of the County Old People's Painting and Calligraphy Association. Xie Lan loved painting and calligraphy, handcraft and fashion design since childhood. When she was studying at school, she took fine arts as an elective and studied under the China painter Sarah. After years of hard study, she gradually formed her own unique artistic style.
