? In the East, no matter the spirit of Confucianism, Taoism or Buddhism, it can't bypass an important ideological core, which we call-seeing nature clearly, that is, seeing your own heart clearly and understanding your own nature. However, whether you know yourself or have a clear mind, human beings are always curious about this mysterious self and this mysterious world.
? Today, I'm going to tell you what eastern and western philosophies say about knowing myself and the world, and how to find myself in this vast world.
? Know yourself, this sentence seems to be completely put forward by the western culture of ancient Greek philosophy, but what is really practicing it is actually China's traditional culture and oriental thought, including Confucianism, aristocratic families and Taoism. In a word, its thought is to be clear-minded.
? To see your heart clearly, to see your temperament clearly. Only when you know your mind clearly can you cultivate your mind on the basis of your own understanding and self-understanding. If you cultivate your mind well, you can give yourself a way to deal with it at a critical time. When others need it, it can also cause people. Therefore, oriental culture and oriental thought focus on seeking inward through various ways, I see who I am, and learn from my own mind. Then, on the basis of this mirror, cultivate one's mind and cultivate one's nature, and cross the river by oneself. Help yourself and try your best to help others at the same time.
? Some people think that he certainly knows his own temperament, and people who are impatient will be more anxious when they encounter things; A person with a slow temper would have been five minutes late for class, and he would have thought that since he was late, he would be even later. We seem to know our own minds very well, but we may not!
? Tell a story about Su Dongpo and a monk. Su Dongpo, man of great talent, learned a lot. His good friend is a monk, and his name is Fo Yin. Su Dongpo is particularly embarrassed when he is outside, because he is better at poetry and calligraphy, but when he is with Fo Yin, he often loses when he fights with him. Su Dongpo was very angry and unwilling. As a good student, it is hard to be content, so we must find a chance to get everything back.
? One day, in the spring of March, when the wind was blowing gently, two people were sitting in a pavilion near the West Lake and making a pot of Longjing tea. The two men looked at each other and said nothing. Don't think that if you don't talk, you don't communicate with each other. In China culture, there is a way of talking that people with high level will have, which is called talking clearly. When the water is clear, there is no fish. The so-called clear talk means not talking, with a pair of eyes. The duel between masters is the same. Do you still need to fight? No need, a pair of eyes, your energy, your energy has repelled me, maybe there is a shock wave in the eyes, and a pair of masters will know that you are not your opponent.
? Su Dongpo and Fo Yin are sitting on the edge of the West Lake, drinking Longjing tea and flirting with each other. Just at this time, Fo Yin felt very comfortable, because it was hot outside, the tea was drunk, and the stomach was hot. The whole person was very comfortable, so he began to sit up on his futon. When he sat up, steam curled up from his head. Then Su Dongpo was happy and counted on his heart. He said, "Well, Fo Yin and Fo Yin, what do you think I look like sitting here?" Everyone knows that Su Dongpo has a beard, a big belly and is quite rich, so Fo Yin said to him with a smile: "Brother Dongpo, I think you look like a Buddha."
? Courtesy on one side only lasts not long. The somebody else Su Dongpo asked Fo Yin, Fo Yin not bashful not to ask? Then Fo Yin said, "Ah, Brother Dongpo, what do you think I look like sitting here?" Then, as we all know, he meditated on his limbs and his head was steaming. Su Dongpo said, "I think you look like a lump of cow dung." Then Fo Yin laughed it off.
? On that day, Su Dongpo was in a particularly good mood, paunchy, trotting all the way and telling everyone, and then everyone praised him more than enough. As a result, when Su Dongpo came home, he met another talented person in his family-Su Xiaomei. Sue's family didn't think too much. He was so happy to see Su Xiaomei and told her the story. He said I was a Buddha and I said he was a cow shit. Look, I won! Hearing this, Su Xiaomei struck the table and poked his belly. "Oh, I think you lost."
? Su Dongpo was puzzled. "He said I was a Buddha, and I said he was a piece of cow dung. How could I lose? Tell me!" Su Xiaomei said, "Fo Yin has a Buddha in his heart, and everywhere he sees it. What about you? How to look at the world and what kind of world you see, your eyes determine your eyes. "
? Fo Yin is a Buddha in his heart, and he looks at the world with Buddha's eyes. Everywhere he sees, there are Buddhas. Su Dongpo's heart is shit, and he looks at the world with a dog's eye, and shit is everywhere he sees it. What about you? With what eyes do you see the world and what kind of world do you see? We often talk about a world outlook in education. What is a world outlook? That's the sentence. What kind of eyes you are looking at the world with actually proves what kind of mind you have. If you are big-minded, the world you see is boundless; If you are small-minded and full of envy and hatred, the world you see is also narrow-minded. Mood determines your vision. If you are in a high mood, your vision will be high. You live too LOW, and the world you see will not be too beautiful.
? So look at the world with what eyes, and see what kind of world. And what determines your eyes? It's up to you. Therefore, it is necessary to have a clear mind and see nature. Fo Yin looks at the world with Buddha's eyes, with Buddha in his heart and Buddha's eyes, and everywhere he sees is Buddha. What about you? What is the world you see? The world you see is actually a mirror, which reflects what your mind is like and what kind of heart you have. Don't think that you know yourself well. If everyone says that they know yourself well, then China's philosophy can't be developed at all, and oriental culture can't be so respected. Therefore, it is particularly important to be clear-minded and self-aware. So Apollo will say on this stone pillar: "Man, know yourself!"
? Not only the eastern culture, but also the whole eastern and western ideological circles can't escape three universal ultimate questions in the end: "Who am I? Where did it come from? Where will you go? " The difference between the east and the west lies only in western thoughts. What it wants to know is: "What kind of world do I live in?" What oriental thought wants to make clear is: "What kind of person am I living in such a world?" This is their different angles and directions, but all roads lead to the same goal. Everyone's life is actually to find themselves, and then find their own position in this vast world.
? Who am I? If I find that I am an apple, then my lifelong mission is to make me as healthy, rich, fat and sweet as possible. If you find that I am a lemon among people, your direction is not to make yourself sweet like an apple, but to be as sour as possible. So only by finding out who you are can you find out what you want? So that you can know where you are going. Only then can you know what to do next in your life. This is why Socrates is called the most wise man in ancient Greece. In fact, he knows no more than others. He just knows something that others don't, and that is what he said: "All I know is my ignorance." Socrates may not know more about astronomy and geography. Socrates is different from ordinary people only in that he has self-knowledge. He has a clear mind and sees sex.
? Many times, if someone in your daily life says, "All I know is that I am ignorant." You think this person is pretending again, pretending to be modest. But you have to know that Socrates said that what I know is that I am ignorant, which is self-deprecating, but at the same time it is true. There will be scholars, barristers, justices and adults among you in the future, but even then, you are still ignorant, aren't you? In a threesome, there must be a teacher. I know philosophy, but I don't know physics. Every time when I was young, I would get out of bed and get scared. Anyway, all I know is that I am ignorant. This is not a self-modesty, it is a fact. Socrates said this not to show his modesty, but to respect the truth. So he was called the wisest man in ancient Greece.
? Two days ago, I was in the office with my colleague. I asked him a question that he found difficult to answer. I said please rank the IQ, Socrates, Laozi, Gautama, Zhuangzi, Confucius and Jesus. My colleague was very shy there, but later I found out that I said we should write the highest IQ of these people on our palms, and see if heroes think alike. Later, he wrote it down, and I also wrote it down, a pair, old! At that time, we all felt that among these people, Laozi had the highest IQ.
? Of course, different opinions are allowed. All I know is that I am ignorant. Maybe I'm really wrong, but I always think that Laozi's IQ is far above Socrates', and the most interesting thing is that among this group of people, we also rated one with the lowest score. Remove a highest score, remove a lowest score, and then who is the lowest score? Sue! Sorry, Socrates.
? This Laozi, whose wisdom is far above Socrates, said this sentence: "He who knows others is wise, and he who knows himself is clear." Everyone knows this sentence, and you often love it, saying that you want to Be myself, be myself, be myself! How touching this sentence is. But who do you want to be when you don't know yourself? Only when you figure out who you are can you try your best to be what you are. Only when you find out who you are will you know where I will go, won't you?
? So, what do you want to do in your life? You think everything, all the knowledge in the world is a road leading to self-knowledge. You will go to America, England and France, and you will travel around the world just to find myself. So there is only one thing in the rest of life in the world, and everything is doing it, that is, Know who I am, and try to be who I am. Know who I am, and then try to be what I am. Then one day, when others ask, who are you? Your answer is I am who I am. Is it?
? People will try their best to find myself all their lives, and then try their best to become what I am, and then one day, you will keep approaching this goal, that is, I am who I am. When a person dares to say I am who I am, you are already a God, and you have become those people of the old, Zhuang, Kong, Meng and Su Ping levels, Because I am who I am. We also have the word God in China. We China are not monosyllabic words, God is spirit, and Ming is Ming Che. When you live to the spirit of Ming Che, you regard it as a god, comparable to the gods.
? So many times, there will be many questions, but the answer is one, how to be a noble person and how to be myself? Know myself first. You see China's old saying: "A noble man knows himself." When you have self-knowledge, you are a noble person. Nobleness is not that simple, but nobility is not as abstract and difficult as you think.
? Noble people have self-knowledge, and nobility is a compliment to those who know themselves. As the fairy tale little prince said, what is really important in life is invisible to our eyes, and we can only find it with our hearts. Our understanding of the world and ourselves also requires us to discover and gain insight with these inner eyes. May each of us, with the development of life, get to know ourselves more and more, become ourselves more and more, and with such self-knowledge, become more and more noble in spirit.
