The abbot said to Zhu Yuanzhang, "The Buddha now does not worship the Buddha in the past." These eight words saved Shaolin Temple from a disaster. Zhu Yuanzhang, the founding emperor of the Ming Dynasty, was the eighth child in the family, also known as Zhu Chongba. I was born in poverty and herded cattle for the landlord. One year, his parents and brother died one after another. He had no money to buy a coffin, so he hastily buried his relatives with the help of his neighbors. In order to live, he planned to become a monk, so he went to Huang Jue Temple. Seeing his strange appearance, the abbot took him in because of his wealth.

At the age of seventeen, he was unable to become a monk because of the war, so he had to wander around. By chance, I met Tanghe and followed him into the tide of anti-Qing and regaining sight. After several ups and downs, he joined the rebels in Guo Zixing. Because he is smart and capable, he is willing to endure hardships. Guo Zixing married his adopted daughter Ma Dajiao. Because he suffered from childhood, he deeply realized the sufferings of the people, and his goal was to make the people of the world live a good life.

Later, he succeeded Guo Zixing as the leader of the Red Scarf Army, and the team gradually expanded, completely overthrowing the Yuan Dynasty, thus establishing the Ming Dynasty. When he became emperor, one day, he went to Songshan Shaolin Temple. Before coming to Buddha, Zhu Yuanzhang burned incense and blessed his country for generations. When I was about to worship Buddha, I suddenly remembered that I was an emperor and a real dragon emperor. Should I bow down to the Buddha? Zhu Yuanzhang hesitated for this and asked the abbot: Do I need to bow down?

Hearing this, the abbot found this question very difficult. If the answer is not in Zhu Yuanzhang's mind, then the whole temple will suffer, so how can we answer it satisfactorily? The abbot thought for a moment, bowed and said respectfully, "Now the Buddha doesn't worship the Buddha of the past." Zhu Yuanzhang nodded and smiled with satisfaction.

Why did Zhu Yuanzhang laugh? The abbot means that Zhu Yuanzhang is now the son of heaven and the Buddha. In the past, there was no reason to worship Buddha, which improved Zhu Yuanzhang's status and regarded him as the Buddha Lord admired by thousands of people. How could he be unhappy? So I rewarded the abbot. Shaolin Temple also virtually avoided a disaster. From this anecdote, we can realize that speaking is really an art!
