Huan Wen (312 -373) was born in Longkang (now Longkang Town, Huaiyuan, Anhui). A powerful minister in the Eastern Jin Dynasty, a representative of Huan's family, was the eldest son of Huanyi in Xuancheng after Huanrong, a famous Confucian in the Eastern Han Dynasty.

Huan Wen, a Xu-ma in Jin Mingdi, gained great fame because he went up the river and perished into the Han regime. He sent troops to the Northern Expedition three times (before the Northern Expedition, after the Northern Expedition, and before the Northern Expedition), and he made many achievements. After monopolizing the state affairs for more than ten years, he manipulated the abolition of the legislature and deliberately seized the throne. Eventually, his reputation was damaged due to the failure of the third Northern Expedition, and he was subject to the influence of the DPRK and Xie Wang.

Huan Wen forced the imperial court to add nine tin, which was delayed by Xie An and others for an excuse until his death. After his death, posthumous title declared martial arts. After his son Huan Xuan established Huanchu, he was revered as "Emperor Xuanwu".
