Rick and Union, two long-separated lovers, reunited and had a wonderful time. In the end, the coalition chose to leave. The original words are this:

Forgive me, Rick, but I can only leave a note. I don't have the courage to say goodbye to you in person. I understand now that what attracts me to you is exactly why I can't be with you - you can't change it. This is not a bad thing, but it is a hurdle that I cannot overcome.

I know that the perfect me does not exist. I know that I will assimilate one race after another, but I will not be truly perfect. But I know where we'll end up, I'll lose myself and become a part of you. The strangest thing is that, even though it is my specialty, you easily surpassed me.

This episode contains the heartfelt joy of two souls of the same color being together, and also the conflict between two partners with strong personalities between maintaining themselves and compromising changes. Eventually the coalition chose to leave. But I think anyone who has ever had such a love will remember it.
