The famous saying "Do it right the first time" was proposed by Mr. Philip Crosby.
“Do It Right The First Time (DIRFT)” is one of the essences of the famous management scientist Crosby’s “zero defect” theory.
Zero Defect Theory:
It is always cheaper to do the job right the first time.
“Zero defects” is the cry of defect prevention, which means “doing things right the first time.”
Doing it right the first time means meeting the requirements the first time. Therefore, if there are no "requirements" to follow, there is no possibility of meeting the "requirements" the first time.
Our basic work philosophy is to focus on prevention, adhere to the attitude of "doing things right the first time", and make quality a way of life.
Doing the right thing right the first time includes three levels: doing the right thing, doing things right and doing it right the first time. Therefore, three factors are essential to getting things right the first time.
The right thing to do: Identify your customers’ true needs and develop a strategy accordingly.
Doing things right: All activities necessary to run an organization, produce a product or service, and deal with customers meet the objective requirements of customers and the market.
Do it right the first time: prevent costs that do not meet requirements, thereby reducing quality costs and improving efficiency.
Basic principles of zero-defect management philosophy:
One core: do the right thing right the first time.
Two basic points: useful and trustworthy.
Three needs: Any organization must meet the needs of customers, the needs of employees and the needs of suppliers.
Four basic principles: Quality means meeting requirements; a preventive system produces quality; the working principle of quality is zero defects; quality performance must be measured by quality cost (money).
