The heroic story of Zhang Xueliang during the Anti-Japanese War

On December 12, 1936, Zhang Xueliang and Yang Hucheng rebelled against Chiang Kai-shek. The Communist Party of China forced Chiang Kai-shek to unite with the Communist Party of China to resist Japan, resulting in the "Xi'an Incident" that shocked China and foreign countries.

On the day of the Xi'an Incident, Zhang Xueliang and Yang Hucheng sent a telegram to the whole country on the eight propositions for national salvation, proposing: "Reorganize the Nanjing government to accommodate all parties and factions, and the Communist Party of China will be responsible for saving the country. Stop all civil wars. Release immediately. Arrested patriotic leaders in Shanghai. Release all political prisoners across the country. Ensure all political freedoms of people’s assembly and association. Convene a National Salvation Conference immediately.
