Full text and translation of "Zhuangzi"

Original text of "Zhuangzi": He who knows what Heaven is doing and what humans are doing is the best. Those who know what Heaven does are born from Heaven; those who know what people do will use what they know to nourish what they know and what they don’t know, and they will live their whole lives without being in the right way. Translation: Knowing the behavior of nature and understanding the behavior of humans has reached the ultimate level of understanding. To understand the actions of nature is to understand that things come from nature; to understand the actions of man is to use the knowledge that his wisdom understands to nurture and cultivate the knowledge that his wisdom cannot understand, until he dies naturally without dying midway.

Original text: This is the prosperity of knowledge. Although, there is risk. The husband knows that he is waiting for something, and then he takes care of it, but the person he is waiting for has not yet decided. Do you know what I say about heaven being inhuman? What is the so-called man's fault? And there are real people, and then there is true knowledge.

Translation: This is probably the highest level of understanding. Even so, there are still worries. People's knowledge must be based on something to determine whether it is appropriate, but the object of knowledge is unstable. How do I know that the things I call natural are not man-made? How do I know that the man-made things I call are not natural? Besides, only with "real people" can we have true knowledge.

Original text: In ancient times, a true person did not rebel against the few, did not become a hero, and did not mow down others. If this is the case, you will not regret it if you have passed it by, and you will not be satisfied with it. If this is the case, it will not tremble when climbing high, it will not be wet when entering water, and it will not be hot when entering fire. This is also the case for those who know how to ascend to the false path. The ancient real person sleeps without dreaming, feels without worries, eats unwillingly, and breathes deeply.

Translation: The "real people" in ancient times did not rely on the crowd to dominate others, did not rely on their success to dominate others, and did not seek trivial matters. People like this will not regret if they miss an opportunity, but will not be proud if they catch an opportunity. A person like this will not tremble when he climbs to a high place, does not get wet when he goes into water, and does not feel burned when he enters fire. Only those who have wisdom and can reach the realm of the great road can be like this. The "real man" in ancient times did not dream when he slept, was not sad when he woke up, did not seek sweetness when he ate, and breathed deeply.
