Shun was born in the countryside (2), Fu said (yuè) was lifted between the building blocks (3), Jiao Ge was lifted among the fish and salt (4), Guan Yiwu was lifted up among the scholars (5), Sun Shuao was lifted up in the sea (6), Baili Xi was lifted up in the city (7) .

Therefore, when Heaven is about to entrust a great responsibility (8) to man (9), he must first suffer his mind (10), strain his muscles and bones (11), starve his body and skin (12), and deplete his body ( 13), the behavior disturbs what he does (14), so (15) is tempted to endure (16), which has benefited what he could not do (17).

People always (18) make mistakes (19), and then they can change (20); trapped in the heart (21), balanced by worries (22), and then do (23); manifested in color (24) , issued in sound (25), and then metaphor (26). If you enter, you will be helpless (bì) (27), if you leave, you will be invincible to foreign patients (28), and the country will be destroyed (29).

Then we know that we are born from sorrow (30) and die from happiness (31).
