Once upon a time, the concept of detoxification and beauty was deeply rooted in people's hearts, but many women were troubled by constipation. The stool adheres to the intestinal wall and absorbs a lot of toxins. In addition, all kinds of pollution are becoming more and more serious: PM2.5 (fine particles) in the air inhaled and ingested are absorbed through pores ... which has a great encirclement and suppression trend for women living in cities, making the concept of detoxification and beauty care more and more popular. But do you know how the toxin is discharged?
Mr. Zhang, a representative of the evil faction, was one of the four masters in Jin and Yuan Dynasties and a master of detoxification in traditional Chinese medicine. His proposition is that "evil is safe." The concept of poison in traditional Chinese medicine is very broad, and all pathological products that lead to the imbalance of yin and yang in human body are poison. So through what channels does the human body excrete these poisons? It is a family method of attacking evil factions in the eight methods of treating diseases in traditional Chinese medicine: sweating and purgation. Sweating means sweating, and the next one means defecation.
As early as the period of Huangdi Neijing and Difficult Classic, Chinese medicine put forward the method of external treatment of internal diseases, and adopted the method of opening the ghost gate (sweat hole) to sweat away evil spirits. Diseases in any part of human internal organs can be reflected to the body surface through blood vessels and meridians. For example, in rheumatoid arthritis, drugs for expelling wind and removing dampness, drugs for promoting blood circulation and relieving pain are applied, and then some drugs for pungent warming and sweating are applied, so that old metabolic wastes and some pathogenic wind, cold and dampness in the body are discharged from sweat through blood circulation, and then the pathogenic factors will be alleviated or disappeared.
There are about 180 kinds of metabolic wastes excreted by human body through skin, including bacteria, viruses, urotoxin, sugar, salt, uric acid, potassium, calcium, water, denatured fat globules, necrotic bacteria, protein and some sweat gland secretions. And how can we mobilize the normal sweating function of the human body? This is achieved by raising the body temperature. Exercise makes people sweat. Generally, the body temperature is around 37 degrees Celsius. The heat output of human body during exercise is 10 ~ 15 times higher than that at rest. During exercise, the body temperature rises, and the heat dissipation process is also strengthened by the regulation of the central nervous system. At this time, blood circulation is accelerated and skin blood vessels are dilated. There are millions of sweat glands in the human body, and the rising body temperature is reduced through the secretion of sweat glands. Especially in exercise, it not only helps blood circulation and stimulates the lymphatic system, but also accelerates the peristalsis of the gastrointestinal tract. Stimulating peristalsis is helpful to the easy solution of stool itself. At the same time, you often need to drink water after exercise, which is more conducive to discharging "toxins" through urination.
The skin is the largest organ of the human body, which detoxifies by sweating. The toxins of pathological products in the body are mainly completed by kidneys and livers through urine. Huangdi Neijing has an incisive conclusion about the excretion of urine: "Bladder, the official of the state, contains body fluid, and can be excreted by gasification." It means that the bladder is a place to store urine, but urine is excreted by "gasification". If "gasification" is unfavorable, then urine is unfavorable, and the corresponding toxins are difficult to discharge.
So what does "gasification" mean? There is a famous saying in Huangdi Neijing that has been repeated many times: "Yang turns into qi and Yin turns into qi". If the yang is weak, there is no gasification, and the viscera function is insufficient, it will not promote various metabolic activities of the human body. In traditional Chinese medicine, drugs used for urination are all based on this theory, and warm drugs are used to enhance the "gasification" function of the bladder. For example, cassia twig in Wuling powder, a commonly used diuretic Chinese medicine, aconite root in Jinkui Shenqi Pill for tonifying kidney and diuresis, and aconite root and ginger in Zhenwu decoction with edema and frequent urination are all warm drugs, and aconite root is a big hot drug. It can be seen that detoxification depends on urine and needs warming yang.
In Lun Heng written by Wang Chong in Han Dynasty, the health care thought that "if you want to live, there must be no excrement in your intestines" is recorded, which is the theoretical origin of dredging fu organs and expelling toxins. Poor stool is an important sign that the whole body detoxification pipeline is not smooth. There are many ways to pass, but some of them have led us into a misunderstanding. Many health care drugs under the banner of detoxification and beauty care are powerful laxatives, such as rhubarb, aloe, senna and so on. Modern medicine has proved that anthraquinone is the effective component of rhubarb diarrhea. Long-term use will cause damage to colonic smooth muscle nerve cells, make colon motor function disorder, reduce motivation, and then cause more serious constipation. It will also damage the peristalsis and secretion function of the intestine, so once the drug is stopped, it will often aggravate constipation and then form dependence.
Rhubarb, commonly known as "general" in Chinese medicine, has the ability to cut off customs and seize it. The treatment of constipation is limited to heat, and the medication should conform to the principle of "fullness, dryness and firmness". For many modern women with cold constitution and weak spleen and stomach, the use of rhubarb and other drugs will lead to "withdrawal of deficiency" and even hurt the spleen and stomach and yang. Therefore, for this kind of "cold secret, empty secret", we should adopt the method of warming and tonifying yang qi, and replace cold drugs with drugs such as cistanche deserticola and Polygonum multiflorum Thunb. In addition, we should also start with the usual diet, eat less refined flour and rice, and eat more coarse grains. Some vitamins and minerals that are not available in flour and rice can improve the intestinal environment. Rich cellulose can help intestinal peristalsis, help intestinal emptying and defecation.
"When pathogenic factors gather, the qi is weak", which shows that the fundamental reason why toxic factors invade the human body lies in the lack of healthy qi. Therefore, detoxification and health preservation should not pay too much attention to the form of "pai", but first of all, it should be based on strengthening self-righteousness and improving the function of detoxification of zang-fu organs of the human body itself. The so-called "nourishing energy and eliminating self-accumulation" means that vital qi is vigorous and qi and blood are harmonious, so we should always take care of yang, and we should not use bitter and cold medicines indiscriminately, because the vitality is vigorous and the toxic evil disappears by itself.
