The Rain Will Not Die is a short story written by Guan Hua. It was published in Shanxi-Chahar-Hebei Daily, the predecessor of "People's Daily" in 1948. The original blueprint of the little hero Yu Lai. The novel tells the story of Yu Lai's clever and brave heroic deeds.
When he was a child, he witnessed the head of the children's corps of his village, who was several years older than him, leading a group of innocent children to stand guard, send chicken feather letters, and climb trees to look out to capture the enemy's situation. Later, he wrote the short story "Yulai is Not Dead" with Yulai as the protagonist in Changli Road South. This was the original blueprint of "Yulai, the Little Hero", and it became the beginning of Guan Hua's creative career.
After the first draft was written, Guan Hua first asked Zhou Libo, then director of the research office of Lu Xun College of Literature, to review it.
