He Youzhi, who lost his mother since childhood, was raised by his aunt in the countryside. He studied at Dawangguan Primary School and graduated from Qixin Primary School 1937. Qi Xin Primary School, located in Guandi Temple, is called "Pavilion", which has a stage depicting the story of the Three Kingdoms. He has a special liking for this kind of sketch, and he is fascinated by these traditional Chinese opera characters, which moistens his mind as an artist in the future. 1949 to 1960 is the first stage of He Youzhi's cartoon creation. Including works in cooperation with others, he has created more than 40 sets of cartoons. The lyric style and national characteristics of Great Changes in the Countryside are not only widely loved by readers, but also highly praised by the art world. It is considered to be the highest representative of China's comic book creation in that era, and it is called a landmark masterpiece in the history of comic books in China by literary critics. 1963 won the first prize in the first national cartoon awards conference. Since then, he has created and published three sets of cartoons 13, such as Good Eight Company on Nanjing Road and Li Shuangshuang. His 1979 Chaoyanggou won the third prize of the 30th anniversary art exhibition. Fifteen Biographies published by 1978 and White Light published by 1980 won the second prize and the first prize of198/2 nd National Comic Award respectively. Among them, White Light marks the new peak of He Youzhi's comic book art. From 1979 to 1984, he wrote and published Su Dongpo's Right Pen and Cao Chong Statue. After the exhibition in western countries, some people said, "I didn't understand some truth of China until I saw the paintings by He Youzhi.". He was invited to give lectures at the French Academy of Fine Arts, which was well received and loved by the school students, and was highly praised by the French students. In April 2002, he donated all the manuscripts and pages of three classic folk stories, Mid-Autumn Festival, the Goddess Chang'e flying to the moon, Double Ninth Festival and Dong Fangshuo Lantern Festival, to the museum in his hometown. From 65438 to February 2002, he donated 17 of the 80 collections of Jiang Shen Customs to Beilun Library. At the donation ceremony, he said, "My works were donated to Shanghai History Museum and Shanghai Art Museum. Of course, I won't forget to donate it to my hometown library. He Youzhi's childhood in his hometown has brought endless creative sources to his artistic career. The white sails on the beach and the customs of the old streets and alleys are still his indelible memories. He said more than once: "The mountains and rivers in my hometown have nurtured me, and many of my works draw creative materials from my children's lives."
