"Don't do to others what you don't want others to do to you", from The Analects of Yan Yuan. It means don't impose what you don't want on others. This is one of the creeds of Confucianism, and it is also a famous saying of Confucius that I feel most deeply. A rich man went to ask a philosopher why many people didn't like him after he became rich. Philosophers said: because they only see themselves and no one else after they get rich, the rich people are puzzled by this bland saying.

In fact, people are often selfish. The world is a whole composed of many people. We are all angels with only one wing. We can only fly by hugging, and people need respect and understanding. People live a lifetime, in fact, is to communicate with others. To be able to communicate, you must stick to what you don't want and don't show it to others. Emperor Taizong knew this truth well. He adopted Wei Zhi's "Ten Thoughts" and ruled the world. The people live and work in peace and contentment, and the people in the natural country are safe. Only in history did he have a good reputation for ruling Guan Zhen.

Mencius advised us to explain the truth with "The History of Qi Huan's Jinwen", stating that we should be considerate of the people and make them "look up to their parents and look down on their wives". The world is in the palm of their hands and the people return like water.

Don't do to others what you don't want them to do to you. Always think of others, and the world will be more peaceful.
