"Original Destruction" A gentleman in ancient times was serious about responsibilities to himself (1), and treated others lightly (2).

If you focus on Zhou, you will not be lazy; if you focus on appointments lightly, people will be happy and do good. I heard that among the ancient people there was Shun, who was a benevolent and righteous man (4).

Those who seek the reason why he is Shun blame themselves and say: "He is a human being; I am a human being. He can be like that, but I cannot be like that!" ⑸ Think about it morning and night, and get rid of what is not as good as it is. Shun is like Shun.

I heard from ancient times that there was a Duke of Zhou who was a man of many talents and artists. Those who ask for the reason why he is the Duke of Zhou, blame themselves and say: "He is a human being; I am a human being.

He can be that, but I cannot be!" Think about it morning and night, and eliminate his inferiority to the Duke of Zhou. That person is like the Duke of Zhou. Shun was a great sage, who was never equaled by future generations; Duke Zhou was a great sage who was never equaled by future generations.

This is a man who said: "I am not as good as Shun, not as good as Zhou Gong, that is my disease." Isn't it true that the person who is responsible for the body is more important than Zhou! Regarding people, he said: "If that person can do this, he is enough to be a good person; if he can do this well, he is enough to be an artist."

Choose one and don't blame the other; That is to say, it is new, not the old: I am afraid, but I am afraid that the person will not benefit from doing good. A good thing is easy to cultivate, and a skill is easy to master. For people, it is said: "If you can be good at it, it is enough."

It is said: "If you can be good at it, it is enough." No. Do you treat others lightly? This is not the case with today’s gentlemen.

The person responsible is also detailed, and he treats himself honestly⑺. Detailed, so it is difficult for people to do good; honest, so there is little for oneself.

If oneself is not good, he says: "I am good, and that is enough." If one is not capable, he says, "I can be that, and that is enough."

He deceives others externally and deceives his heart internally. He only stops after gaining some success. Doesn’t he also treat his body as incorruptible? Regarding people, it is said: "Although he is capable of what he is, he is not worthy of being called a person; although he is good at what he is, his use is not worthy of being called." To name just one, I will not count ten of them; to look at the old, not to think of the new: for fear of fear But I'm just afraid of hearing about it.

Isn’t it clear that others are also to blame? This is what I mean by not treating oneself as others, but treating others as a saint. I have not seen him respect himself. Although, those who do what is right have their own origins, and it is also called laziness and taboo.

Those who are lazy cannot practice, while those who are jealous are afraid of others. I always try it.

Try to say to everyone: "A certain good person, a certain good person." The person who responds must respond to the person; otherwise, the alienated person will not be the same as the person who benefits from it; otherwise, Then he is afraid.

Otherwise, the strong will be angry with words, and the coward will be angry with sex. He also tried to say to everyone: "Someone is not a good person, and someone is not a good person."

Those who do not deserve it must be treated by others; otherwise, those who are alienated will not be able to benefit from it. Yes; otherwise, he is afraid. Otherwise, the strong will speak with words, and the coward will speak with sex.

It is a story that is cultivated but slandered, and a story that is virtuous but destroyed. Alas! It is difficult for a scholar to look forward to the light of reputation and moral conduct in this world! If there are those who have done something above, and I have said it and kept it, their country will be able to understand it! [1]⑴Heavy: Strict.

Zhou: thorough and comprehensive. ⑵Light: Tolerant.

About: Jian Shao. The above two sentences come from "The Analects of Confucius: Wei Linggong": "Be generous to yourself and blame others poorly."

⑶Don’t be lazy: Refers to not slacking off in moral cultivation. ⑷Shun: The legendary king of ancient times.

A benevolent and righteous person: a person who conforms to the Confucian moral code of benevolence and righteousness. The sentence comes from "Mencius Li Lou Xia": "Shun was wise about common people, observed human relations, and acted based on benevolence and righteousness, but not benevolence and righteousness."

⑸ A sentence comes from "Mencius Teng Wengong": "Yan Yuan said: 'Who is Shun? To whom? If he has something to do, this is also the case.'" ⑹ Duke of Zhou: Prince Wen of Zhou, younger brother of King Wu of Zhou.

After the death of King Wu, King Cheng succeeded to the throne at a young age and was regent by Duke Zhou. Versatility and Artist: A person of many talents.

The sentence comes from "Shang Shu·Jin Rui": Zhou Gong said: "If you are a benevolent person, you can be versatile and can do things like ghosts and gods." ⑺Integrity: few.

⑻Hai: Too, very. ⑼Say: Same as "Yue".

⑽ Ji: Shu Ji, almost the same. [2] A gentleman in ancient times requires himself to be strict and thorough, and he requires others to be tolerant and simple.

Strict and thorough, so people do not slack off in moral cultivation; tolerant and simple, so people are willing to do good things. I heard that there was a man named Shun among the ancients. He was a benevolent and righteous man. Looking for the reason why Shun became Shun, a gentleman asked himself: "He is a human being, and I am also a human being. He can do this, and I But it can't be like this!" I spent morning and night thinking about how to get rid of the things that were not as good as Shun and imitate the things that were the same as Shun.

I heard that there was a man named Zhou Gong among the ancients. He was a man of many talents. Looking for the reason why Zhou Gong was Zhou Gong, he asked himself: "He is a human being, and I am also a human being; he can Like this, but I can't do this!" I spent morning and night thinking about how to get rid of the things that were not as good as Zhou Gong and imitate the things that were like Zhou Gong. Shun was a great sage, and no one in later generations could catch up with him.

Duke Zhou is a great sage, and no one in later generations can catch up with him. This man said: "Not as good as Shun, not as good as Duke Zhou. This is my shortcoming." Isn't this a requirement for myself? Is it rigorous and comprehensive? He would say to others: "If that person has these advantages, he is a kind person; if he is good at these things, he is a talented person."

Affirm him in one aspect, but not be critical of him in other aspects; judging from his current performance, do not investigate his past, and be afraid that that person will not get the benefits of doing good things. A good thing is easy to do, a skill is easy to learn, (but) he said to others: "It is enough to have these."

(Also) said: "Be good at these, That's enough." Isn't this just asking others to be generous but not generous? Today's gentleman is not like this. He demands everything from others but little from himself.

(The requirements for others) are comprehensive, so it is difficult for people to do good things; (the requirements for themselves) are few, so their gains are less. I have no merit, but I say: "I have this advantage, and that's enough."

I have no talent, but I say: "I have this skill, and that's enough." That's enough." If you deceive others externally and deceive your own conscience internally, and stop before you gain anything, isn't it because you are asking too little of yourself? He said to others: "Although he is capable of this, (but) his conduct is not worthy of praise.

Although he is good at these things, (but) his ability is not worthy of praise." Give examples. (Criticize) one point of his, without considering the other ten points (how), to investigate his past (mistakes), without considering his current performance, and to be wary of others only for their fame. Isn’t this also asking others to be too comprehensive? Already? This is called not holding yourself to the standards of ordinary people, but holding others to the high standards of a saint. I can't see that he is respecting himself.

Although. 3. Ancient texts on morality

Tao can be Tao, but it is not Tao. Famous, very famous. The nameless beginning of heaven and earth; the named mother of all things. Therefore, if there is always nothing, I want to observe its wonderfulness; if there is always something, I want to observe its beauty. These two have the same origin but different names, and they are both called xuan. Mysterious and mysterious, the door to all mysteries.

Huainanzi: "Name and Tao are not distinct. When a person receives a name, the Tao is not used; when the Tao overcomes a person, the name dies. The Tao competes with people, and those who praise people will also stop the Tao." If people's moral principles are gone, the danger is not far away. If there is a great reputation in the past, the day will come. Those who want to be famous must do good; those who want to do good must do good things. If you memorize the number and just let it go. If you want to be praised for your good deeds, but if you want to be famous for your quality, you will not fix the problem, but it will not be done in time. If you do not fix the problem, you will be responsible; if you do not do it in time, there will be no merit. Responsibility If you have a lot of merit and there is nothing to block it, you will make a mistake and get the answer, and you will hit the target if you make a mistake. The success of the work is not enough to be punished; the failure of the thing is not enough to destroy the body. Therefore, if you focus on doing good, you should focus on doing wrong. But it is more important than the Tao."

Confucius's famous sayings

1. Wealth and honor cannot be immoral, poverty and lowliness cannot be moved, and power cannot bend.

2. Old people are like old people and people are old, young people are like young people and people are young.

3. Born in sorrow and died in happiness.

4. If you get the right way, you will get a lot of help, but if you don’t get the right way, you will get little help.

Ancient scholars must have teachers. A teacher is the one who preaches the truth, receives karma and resolves doubts. People are not born with knowledge, how can they be free from confusion? If you are confused and do not follow the teacher, it is confusion, and you will never be able to understand it.

If they were born before me, they heard the Tao before me, so I learned from them; if they were born after me, they heard the Tao before me, so I learned from them. My teacher, do you know who was born to me one year or another? Therefore, there is neither high nor low, neither long nor short. Where the Tao exists, the teacher exists.

Sigh! It’s been a long time since teachers’ teachings were passed on! It’s hard to be clear of confusion! The ancient saints were also far away from others, and they still asked if they were teachers. Today's people are also far away from the saints, and they are ashamed to learn from their teachers. Therefore, the saint will benefit the saint, and the fool will benefit the fool. Is this why saints are saints and fools are fools?

If you love your son, you will choose a teacher to teach him; but for yourself, you will be ashamed of the teacher and confused. The teacher of that boy is the reader who learns the sentences after being taught the book. He is not what I call someone who teaches his way and solves his confusion. I don't know how to read a sentence, I don't understand it when I'm confused, maybe it's a teacher's fault, or maybe it's not a good idea.

A man of witchcraft, doctor, musician and skill, he is not ashamed to be a physiognomist. The clan of scholar-bureaucrats would gather together and laugh at those who said "master" or "disciple". When asked, he said: "He is similar to that year, and the Tao is similar. A low position is shameful, and a high official is close to flattery." Woohoo! It can be seen that the teacher's way is no longer restored. Gentlemen despise a man who is a man of witchcraft, medicine, music and craftsmanship, but now his wisdom is beyond his reach. How strange that is!

The sage is the teacher of impermanence. Confucius studied under Tanzi, Changhong, Xiang and Laodan. The disciples of Tanzi were not as wise as Confucius. Confucius said: When three people are walking together, there must be my teacher. Therefore, the disciple does not have to be inferior to the master, and the master does not have to be better than the disciple. There is a priority in learning the Tao, and there is a specialization in the art, that's all.

Li's son, Pan, was seventeen years old. He was fond of ancient prose and had a thorough study of all six classics. Yu Jiaqi was able to practice the ancient way and wrote "Shi Shuo" to teach him.

5. When Heaven is about to assign a great responsibility to a person, he must first strain his mind, strain his muscles and bones, and starve his body.

There are also eight articles on morality by pre-Qin scholars

?si=3 4. Help me find an article about moral cultivation. I can find any article, preferably in classical Chinese. Please help.

University》The way of a university lies in being virtuous, being close to the people, and striving for perfection.

Knowing that there is stillness and then concentration, concentration and then tranquility, tranquility and then peace, tranquility and then worry, worry and then gain. Things have a beginning and an end, and things have an end and a beginning. If you know the sequence, you will get the shortcut.

In ancient times, those who wanted to bring enlightenment and virtue to the world first governed their country; those who wanted to govern their country, first regulated their families; those who wished to regulate their families, first cultivated their own bodies; those who desired to cultivate their own bodies, first cultivated their own bodies; To rectify one's mind; if one wants to rectify one's mind, he must first be sincere in his intention; if he wants to be sincere in his intention, he must first gain knowledge, and knowledge lies in investigating things. After observing things, one will know, and after knowing one's mind, one will be sincere, one's mind will be sincere, then one's heart will be upright, one's heart will be right, then one's body will be cultivated, one's body will be cultivated, and then the family will be in order, and the family will be in order, and then the country will be governed, and the country will be governed, and then the world will be peaceful.

From the emperor to the common people, everyone has been based on self-cultivation. It is wrong to have chaos at the beginning but no governance at the end.

What is thick is thin, and what is thin is thick, which is not what it is. This is called knowing the origin, and this is called knowing the ultimate.

As for those who mean what they mean, don’t deceive yourself. Like hating bad odors, like loving lust, this is called self-effacement.

Therefore, a gentleman must be careful about his own actions. It is not good for a villain to live idle, and he is omnipotent. When he sees a gentleman, he becomes disgusted with it.

It is of no use to people who regard themselves as if their liver and lungs are weak. This is called sincerity in the inside and appearance in the outside.

Therefore, a gentleman must be careful about his own actions. Zengzi said: "What the ten eyes look at and what the ten hands point to are so severe!" A rich house, a nourishing body with virtue, a broad mind and a fat body, so a gentleman must be sincere in his intentions.

The poem goes: "In Qi'ao, where there are green bamboos, there is a noble gentleman. It's like fighting with each other, like grinding, like plowing and grinding. There is a quiet stream, and there is a loud and noisy one. There is a noble gentleman, and finally "Don't be confused." Those who are like cutting and studying are Taoists; those who are like grinding are self-study; those who are quiet and noisy are also dignified; if you are a noble gentleman, you can't be confused. The Tao is so virtuous and good that the people cannot forget it.

The poem goes: "In the play! The former king will not forget." A gentleman loves his relatives when he is virtuous, and a villain enjoys his pleasure and benefits him. This is why he will never forget it until the end of his life.

Kang Gao said: "Keep Ming De." Dajia said: "Gu is the clear destiny of heaven."

Di Dian said: "Keep Ming Jun De." It's all self-evident.

The inscription on Tang Zhipan says: "It is new every day, and it is new every day." Kang Gao said: "Be a new people."

The poem says: "Although Zhou is an old country, His destiny is renewed." Therefore, a gentleman will do everything possible.

The poem goes: "The country is thousands of miles away, but only the people stop it." The poem goes: "The wild yellow birds stop at the corner of the hill."

Confucius said: "When it stops, Knowing what to do, can a person be better than a bird? "The poem goes: "King Mu Muwen, Yu Jixi respects the end." Being a king is based on benevolence, being a minister is based on respect, being a son is based on filial piety, and being a father is based on kindness. , the only way to communicate with the people of the country is by letter.

Confucius said: "When hearing a lawsuit, I am still a human being, so I will definitely make sure there is no lawsuit!" A ruthless person will not be able to use his words, and he will be afraid of the people's will. This is called knowing the foundation. The so-called self-cultivation lies in rectifying the mind. If the body is angry, it will not be rectified. If there is fear, it will not be rectified. If there is joy, it will not be rectified. If there is worry, it will not be rectified.

Being absent-minded, turning a blind eye but not seeing, hearing but not hearing, eating without knowing its taste, this is called cultivating one’s mind. The so-called "organizing one's family and cultivating one's body" means that people should avoid those whom they love, avoid those who despise and hate them, avoid those who are in awe of them, avoid those who feel sorry for them, and avoid those who are lazy. Pi Yan, so those who are good but know their evil, and who are evil but know their beauty are rare in the world.

There is an old proverb that says: "No one knows the evil of his son, nor the strength of his seedlings." This means that if you don't cultivate your body, you can't improve your family.

It is said that to govern a country, one must bring order to his family. His family cannot be taught, but there is no one who can teach others. Therefore, a gentleman does not become a monk but teaches in the country.

To be filial is to serve the king; to be a younger brother is to serve others; to be kind is to serve others. Kang Gao said: "It's like protecting an innocent child."

If you sincerely seek it, even if you don't get it, it's not far away. There is no one who has not learned how to raise a son and then marry.

If a family is benevolent, a country will be benevolent; if a family gives in, a country will be prosperous; if one person is greedy and violent, a country will be in chaos. This is how it works. This means that one word can make a difference, and one person can rule the country.

Yao and Shun led the world with benevolence, and the people followed it; Jie and Zhou led the world with violence, and the people followed it. What he ordered was contrary to what he wanted, but the people did not obey.

Therefore, if a gentleman has himself, he will seek help from others; if he has no self, he will seek help from others. There is no such thing as a person who cannot forgive what he has hidden in his body, but can describe it to others.

Therefore, governing the country lies in Qi’s family. The poem goes: "When the peach is young, its leaves are pure. When the son returns home, it is suitable for his family."

It is suitable for his family and then he can teach the people of the country. The poem goes: "Brothers should be like brothers."

Brothers should be like brothers, and then they can teach the people of the country. The poem goes: "The ritual is not too special, it is just like the four countries."

It is the foot law of father, son and brother, and then the civil law. This means that governing the country depends on the family.

It is said that those who rule the country in peace have the old and the old and the people are filial. If you hate those above, don't do it to those below; if you hate those below, don't do it to those above; if you hate the front, don't do it in order; if you hate the back, don't do it to the past; if you hate the right, don't do it to the left. Those who are evil to the left should not be handed over to the right. This is called the way of holding the right.

The poem goes: "Only gentlemen are happy, and they are the parents of the people." What the people love well, what the people hate, and what they hate, these are called the parents of the people.

The poem goes: "Jiebi Nanshan, Weishiyanyan, illustrious teachers and Yin, the people have their vision." Those who have a country cannot be careless, and if they open up, they will be slaughtered by the world.

The poem goes: "The Yin people have not lost their masters, they are worthy of God, their rituals are in charge of Yin, and their orders are not easy." If the Tao wins people, the country will be won, but if it loses people, the country will be lost.

Therefore, a gentleman should first be careful about virtue. There is a person with virtue, a person with soil, a soil with wealth, and wealth with usefulness. Virtue is the foundation, wealth is the end.

The external base is the inner end, fighting for the people and giving away, so wealth gathers and then disperses, and wealth disperses and gathers. Therefore, if something contradicts something and comes out, it also comes in contrary to what is said; if something contradicts something and comes in, it also comes out contrary to what is said.

Kang Gao said: "Only fate is not in the ordinary." If you are good, you will get it, and if you are not good, you will lose it.

The Book of Chu said: "Nothing in Chu is treasured, but kindness is treasured." The uncle said: "The dead are not treasured, but benevolence and relatives are treasured."

Oath of Qin Said: "If there is a minister who is Duan Duanxi and has no other skills, his mind is at rest, and he is capable. If a person has skills, it is as if he has it; if a person is a sage, his heart is as good as his own.

It will be beneficial if we can tolerate it and protect my descendants and the people! People who have skills will be jealous of them, but if they are sages, they will not be able to do it. I can't tolerate it, because I can't protect my descendants and the people. It's also a disaster! "Only the benevolent people let them go and spread them to the barbarians, which is not the same as China."

This means that only benevolent people can love others and hate others. Seeing a virtuous person but not being able to lift them up, being unable to be the first to lift them up is fate.

If you see something bad and cannot retreat, if you retreat but cannot quickly, that is too much. Good people hate what evil people like. This means that if you mess with people's nature, disaster will surely catch you.

Therefore, if a gentleman has the right path, he must be loyal and trustworthy to gain it, and arrogant and arrogant to lose it. There is a great way to generate wealth. If there are many people who live it, few people can eat it, those who use it will be sick, and those who use it will feel comfortable, then the wealth will be constant and sufficient.

A benevolent person uses wealth to make a fortune, and an unkind person makes a fortune with his body. Not yet.
