The real problem of Versailles came after the war. In order to make Germany solvent, Britain and France had to lend Germany money to fatten German chickens so that they could lay eggs. However, Germany got the money and paid off its debts in a clever way-quantitative easing, that is, printing more money. The German mark once depreciated tens of thousands of times in a short period of time, basically competing with the golden certificate. The reparations obtained by Britain and France (calculated by Deutsche Mark) became waste paper, and Germany's war capability was re-cultivated.
